I can't remember the last time I went to In-N-Out, but it must have been years ago, like back when I was in HS. I suddenly got a craving to have one of their burgers, so I went and ordered one, but sadly they're not as good as I remember. I'm also pretty sure In-N-Out has gone through shrinkflation—the burger and portion of fries you get now seem smaller than I remember them being in the past. You'd pay less and get more before; now you pay more and get less. It's happening everywhere, not just at In-N-Out, but sad to see nonetheless. Their fries are on the salty side, so word of warning if you can't take too much sodium. For me it balanced out well since I get my hamburger protein style and salty fries pair well with the high water content of lettuce, but if I had a regular hamburger I'd probably consider the fries too salty. Also the service wasn't great imo. The staff seemed annoyed, maybe bc it was pretty busy and the line was long. Kinda surprised me that it was so busy bc it was around 3:30pm when I went there—not quite lunch hour and not quite dinner. Overall, the food wasn't bad but nothing worth writing home about, and the service was kinda off-putting. So I probably won't go back until I get the craving again a...
Read moreMy favorite burger joint. If you live in southern California you know.
Love the fresh burgers, fries, shakes basically everything is fresh especially the fries. No fast food joint peels their potatoes daily in store than fry it so yes the fries are NOT store bought nor does it taste fake. I know the fries are controversial but y'all are doing it wrong dont blame it on in n out. If you want crispy fries you gotta ask for well done. Gotta love quality and quantity and I'm definitely quality over quantity.
I'm also a big fan of the price. It makes me sad even a bit angry in n out doesnt raise their prices because they deserve to but I understand why they don't. I also respect their decision to not expand or franchise overseas because that would tarnish the in n out brand. they're not sell outs. Seriously, what's there not to love about in n out. I question your taste buds if you dont.
I've also been told in n out treats their employees good. Another quality over quantity moment. If you treat people right they treat you right. Simple life philosophy and respect.
Well deserved 5...

All hail In-N-Out.
To be clear, for those outsiders who don’t understand, In-N-Out is undeniably the best for 4 reasons:
Value/quality for money is unbeatable. It’s a quality burger cheaper than McDonald’s (or any other place for that matter). No one says it’s the best burger money can buy. It’s not.
Superb customer service. You can order anything however you want it so long as they have the ingredients. No complaints. Always with a smile.
Operation hours. They’re open later than most other quality joints (usually past midnight, ~1:00-2:00 am)
It’s a chain. You can find these guys everywhere in California. Its not one of those special places that’s only in your hometown.
If you’re in California, Texas, Nevada (or wherever they have the store), you’ve got you’re order.
Mine: double-double, grilled onions, whole grilled onions, protein style, ketchup and mustard instead of the spread.
Once you’ve lived here for a few years, you’ll have one...
