The people on the phone are professional, polite, and easy to deal with. The 20" pizza is Herculean, to say the least, and the ingredients all seemed to be very fresh. The two most important things about a pizza are that the crust be delicious on its own, without sauce or anything else. The other is the quality of the cheese used to prepare your pie. Pizza'roma's uses the higher quality, more expensive variety than most here in Ithaca. The way to guage it is in the amount of "stringiness", if you will, lol. Their calzones are better than any other I've had upstate. I'm from Long Island, and I was raised to be very picky about food, particularly about 🍕 pizza, lol, and Chinese food. An absolute excellent pricing for a single slice. But as I took my first bite I realized I was eating absolute trash. It tasted terrible. The cheese felt like it had gone bad. The crust was scattered with breadcrumbs that were just inedible, and the sauce was rancid. As someone who enjoys a variety of pizzas in the New York area this missed every mark it tried to hit. Read moreJust ordered a 16" pepperoni pizza and 10 wings online...the topping was good cheese and pepperoni but the crust was the color, thickness, and texture of an asphalt shingle....blackened with enough cornmeal, so that shingle was a perfect description...the wings were braised, ie fried at some point and then oven roasted til they were fall-off-the-bone tender..while I am from Buffalo, and thus fussy about pizza, anyone should be embarrassed to serve that pizza..the wings would have been fine at a senior citizens...
