I wanted to like this place but sadly I feel like it has a long way to go. These critiques may seem harsh but I just want the business to do better and succeed and I’d like to be constructive:

The menu is limited and the quality just doesn't stack up. Despite the clean presentation, the pizza crust was bland and kind of soggy, and the pizzas came out at very inconsistent timing (due to the lack of ovens in the establishment, we saw only two small ones). The sauce had an odd sour flavor to it that seems to be due to the use of canned crushed tomatoes - and the bjorn qorn was literally a bag you'd get at the supermarket (despite jokes that 'bjorn' was in the kitchen).

For a place that seems to brand itself as artisanal and service that takes a decent amount of time, it doesn’t feel like the food is worth it. Being a brewery, the beer would be a selling point, but the Pale Ale and the Weiss were very watery, as were the cocktails. The Sour was quite good and was the highlight of our meal, just wish everything else we had matched. The vibe in the place was very “brooklyn hipsters moved up north” and the level of confidence in the establishment didn’t fit with the quality of the fare.

I really hope to come by again in the future once improvements have been made, but until then I don’t see myself back here again. The staff were friendly and helpful and that makes me optimistic...

I stopped in 10 minutes after opening on. Thursday. I'm the only one there. I placed my order, she asked me to wait at the counter for the beer. She was taking awhile so I sat at a picnic table maybe 6ft from the counter. She came back, apologized for the wait, said she had trouble with the keg. She then said" here you go" and sat the beer down... aka come get it, I am not willing to walk a few more steps to hand it to you. Sorry but that was poor customer service right there, I also detected a negative vibe. Oh yeah the beer, almost forgot. I ordered the altbier. I have drank the original in Duesseldorf Germany on many occasions for a week or more at a time. His version was not quite it, color not even close, but drinkable nonetheless. Perhaps I will swing by again if in the area to give other beers and other...

Thank you to the entire team at Kingston Standard Brewing Co. for hosting our private wedding welcome party for about 70-80 people!! Nate and his entire team were FANTASTIC—incredible service, delicious food, and spot-on with the details. Nate was so diligent and careful with the planning in the lead-up, he spent hours with us on the phone mapping out floor plan, the menu, and overall guest experience. He is a gem of a GM and let us bring in our own bud vases and hook up our own playlist—it was the most memorable night.

They have such an extensive menu which was perfect for our guests, with an amazing selection of wine, cider and even non-alcoholic sodas in addition to beer, it made it perfect place to...

Visited on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of May. Nice spacious brewery taproom with seating both inside and out. Somewhat small range of beers on tap, with a seeming emphasis on old world styles (which I like). The rauchbier I had was excellent. Only one serving size offered. Average prices. Friendly and attentive service. Appealing food menu but we weren’t eating during our visit. Had a good experience here and I’d be interested in returning to try some more beers and perhaps some food.

My wife and I were in the area, needed a quick bite and drink and decided to stop by KSB. First time visiting, staff was great, place looked clean and spacious despite the brewery's small footprint. Tried all their products... the smoked lager and the schwarzbier really really really stood out to us took home a couple of 4 packs of each! I have to say... I'm impressed by the product this little spot is producing, we'll done.

🦞 Roll was really good. I stopped by for a beer and a snack. The food menu was pretty limited but I can't wait to go back to enjoy the oysters. I had the Brett IPA and it was delicious. I asked the the guy at the register if his name was Brett and the beer was his namesake however it was not. Brett is names after something else that grows wild so it means a wild IPA. Anyway, I will be back.
