So I ordered a cheese sub. The staff started to cut the lettuce on the "meat" slicer and I asked please don't, I'm a vegetarian. At that point all 3 staff people rolled their eyes! I ask if they had a cheese slicer, to be told "NO".when I saw one just sitting there not in use..then the ringer asked if i was allergic ,I said no been a vegetarian for 30 years,and don't want meat bits in my sub..so needless to say this will probably be my last time at this store. Further more I was charged $9.35 when all the other subs are $6.90..I was charged $1 for cheese and 75 cents for about 10 slices of olives.was not a good experience don't think I will be coming back.and it shouldn't matter why I don't want meat...
   Read moreDon't go in looking for an upscale artisan bistro, this is your hometown corner deli - and rightfully so! The best in home made corned beef, pickles and soups. All those things that the American deli is so rightfully famous for!
Joe and Brendan are articulate and fun to share a story with while you eat in at one of the two cafe tables or as you shoot the breeze waiting your turn at the counter.

   Read moreWhat can you say about your local deli? They make great sandwiches. As a small business owner myself (literally several blocks down on Foxhall) I'd be silly NOT to support a local business & endorse them.
Also they've got great merchandise, this coffee mug is now my new favorite addition & I don't even use travel mugs normally but now I'm making a point of driving in, stopping for coffee & a sandwich & then off to work down the block.
These guys should be packed...
