Customer service is sub par!
I called inquiring about a price of a Thanksgiving cake, and when I wanted to place the order via phone- I was told they only take orders via email...🤔 kinda was thrown off by that response so I was like ah maybe next time...
Okay fast forward to December 6 they just listed there holiday specials so I emailed...waited 24 hours no responses...emailed again from the original email received a response back quickly about the price... awesome emailed back saying I'm interested how would they like payment and what are there hours of operations for christmas week...again no response...(24 hours again)
I totally understand if your busy especially during holiday season but the lack of responses (maybe hire temp seasonal staff to allievate the overflow) just lost you a customer.
As small business a website would go a long way. It would help by showing the prrices and possibly ordering via website more comfortable especially since an acknowledgment emails is sent to the customer also.
Thanks but no thanks! Not worth it at all- ✌
Update: I get you might be the only one doing everything but I seen even smaller business (IG business only with no store front) appreciate customers or even have a better way of placing order (websites)than how you do your daily operations. I don't have high standards at all...an acknowledgment email that you even got my email and will respond in a day or two would go along way since you only want orders placed via emails. You really should stop placing the blame on customers and maybe take a step back and see how you can try to build and make your business better.
Also... the only time I received a response back was after more than 24 hours was when I replied back to the orginal... it's cool...
Read moreVery disappointed, very bad customer service. I brought some friends to talk business at Baked By The Ocean because of their lovely decor and delicious sweets. We got tea and goodies to eat and sat by the table area to talk business and they had great music on but the sound was overbearing and we were having a hard time hearing each other because the soundbox was right in front of us on the table/counter.
I lowered the sound a little but someone, I actually think it was the owner, kept raising it. There was no one in the store except us eating there, some people walked in and out and all the other chairs were free. After a while, that person who I think was the owner told us to stop lowering the volume. I told her that I couldn't hear my friends talking because the soundbox was right in front of us. She said your ruining the sound, I said I just lowered it a bit because I was trying to enjoy our tea and conversation in her store. She actually then said that they weren't allowing indoor seating, but there were no signs saying that and when we first walked in there were about 7 girls sitting at all those chairs. I told her that.
I felt like she was kicking us out of the store. No matter how pretty or how good the food is, the owner is completely transactional and does not have any sort of pleasant environment and customer service for customers. I will never eat there or order from there again. I felt extremely mistreated and embarrassed by that. Incredible too, because there were only me and my 2 friends in the store and don't understand why the music needed to be...
Read moreif I could leave -5 stars I would. DO NOT GO. awful bakery. awful service. overpriced. I don't mind over paying for something that's worth it, but it was GROSS. and super rude. I can't believe they are still in business. I ordered a custom cake for a party. After cutting the first slice you something was wrong, it was really hard. Guests were literally spitting the cake out. No one ate it. I would think a custom cake for $112 would be good, Especially for how small it was. It was super stale and the flavor was inedible. I don’t mind paying an arm and a leg for something that’s delicious but to taste that bad is a shame. I went back the next day and spoke to the owner. She had an attitude the whole time and refused to give a refund, not even a partial refund. She claimed the cake was gluten-free and that’s why it was different, I never ordered a gluten-free cake. No one at my party is gluten-free. And she never told me that the vanilla cake was gluten free. Regardless, I’ve had gluten-free cakes before, and they never tasted that bad or that hard. It was simply stale and bad. It ruined my event to be honest. And I’m very kind and the way she reacted was really bad Customer Service. Don’t...
