Tecalitlan Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

Second time visiting this establishment after a bad experience the first time. It was a bad idea to return. Ordered tacos and the tortillas were not warmed properly, so they would break when you pick them up. The tongue tacos never tasted like tongue, the competition on Union just across the street offers better tacos. Tacos are not cheap. The steak tacos were a bit better but the cold tortillas ruined them. Oh and when you ask or your tacos with everything they also put beans in them - basically a bean taco with a strip of steak. never had them with beans in Mexico, with everything normally means cilantro and onion.

The only good thing was the super spicy and delicious hot sauce.

Went last week on a Tuesday and they didn't have consome. We specifically drove for it but it's ok next time we'll call ahead to make sure. We got tacos de birria and they gave us an extra taco de frijol that taste so good. I will suggest that the person that takes the orders is more attentive because we were giving one little sauce for the tacos and we wanted more and we literally got up and waited a few mins for her to be at the counter. But overall we will keep coming. I tried tacos de asada here for the first time and they were so good. Also they don't have quesadillas in the menu but I heard a lady ask for a quesadilla so I guess you just have to ask. Can't wait to...

We happened upon their white teca taco truck in front of the baseball fields near Portman Ave. There were two trucks parked on the street opposite ends of each other, one a brightly decorated taco truck, the other, the white teca taco truck. We ordered from both, same things, chicken and chorizo tacos. I was blown away by the flavor, the seasoning, the freshness of the Teca taco truck. The chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The condiments were fresh, crisp, flavorful. This was not the case with the other truck where the chicken looked undercooked.
