I stayed one night with my two adult sons to attend a NY Yankees game the next day. We learned this is a brand new hotel and we found it very nicely done. They really squeezed it into a spot in the neighborhood. The two pieces of information we didn't have before arriving was were to park for check-in and parking for our stay. There is a little drive-up in front of the hotel you can stop to check-in. Right next door, there is an underground parking garage with valet service. So they will park your car in a very safe and secure location under cover. There is a fee for parking but my son's paid for the parking and the hotel, so I can't rate the parking for cost but it was very convenient and peace of mind.||We stayed in one of the twin-queen bed rooms and for three adults we found the space adequate and comfortable. The beds couldn't have been more comfy. It has to be the best hotel bed I have slept in, in years if ever. My normal bed at home is a top of the line Slept-Number bed and this hotel bed didn't make me miss it. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. The shower had a "rain-shower" head that was very nice. The shower control for water temp couldn't have been better. Even better, the shower had three full size squirt bottles of Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I have never seen that in a hotel before. The bathroom sink also had full size squeeze bottles of Dove hand soap and hand lotion. These bottles are secured on a very solid rack so you only need to push the plunger to get the desired lotion you want. The pillows were also very comfy and I'm picky about pillows. The TV was about a 50" HD flat screen I believe. The channel identification on the screen didn't not match the channel that it was on according to my sons. In my experience hotel channels on the TV rarely match any listing provided. The room was completely silent from any outside noises whether it be outside the building or in the hallway. I would have like four bath towels instead of only two, especially if my wife had come. I'm sure upon request I could have gotten extra towels, but too inconvenient for us. ||The free breakfast is a hot one with cheese omelet, bacon, turkey sausage, pancakes, as well as cereal, fruit, and the other usual breakfast fair. Plus, it's an all you can eat, so we were more than full to start our day. The common areas on the first floor were bright and cheery, though I would have made different choices in the furniture. The furniture is nice and modern looking but could be more comfortable for my old bones to sit in. The staff couldn't have been more friendly with plenty available to help. An example, they kept the breakfast offering full and the area clean at all times. Oh, there looked like serval choices of coffee, but I don't drink coffee so I can't judge here.||There were plenty of nice places within walking distance, especially eating establishments, but we arrived too late and too tired to explore. The area seemed safe enough had we been up to walking to explore. Our drive to Yankee Stadium, was a short 40 minutes, so it was a great experience and location. We would definitely...

Read moreI was needing to stay in New Rochelle for travel to work. I looked at the NOMA hotel in New Rochelle and actually had checked out. Could not stay any longer because their prices went up from one day to the next. A coworker advised me to look up Holiday Inn Express in New Rochelle and I did. I called to make sure it was open for business because i read the reviews and someone made a reservation and it was accepted but hotel was still under construction. I called to ask about parking and they stated they had it across the street. I am picturing a large parking lot right across. Then I asked about hot breakfast and the gentleman who answered the phone said they DID have hot breakfast so i booked a King size bed room for myself and husband. Upon arrival we realized the parking lot was across the street more like down the block and it was small and scanky full of rocks not a clean smooth pavement to park a vehicle. The block was dark at night and scary. I was hoping to find my vehicle in the morning. I did not feel safe to leave my car there but i did. Next we checked in and front desk girl stated she did not have a King size bed only one double bed. Mind you i am a heavyset woman. How was i suppose to fit in a double bed with spouse if at home I have a queen size and we barely fit? I became upset; she looked in computer again and SUDDENLY found a king size bed but had no working key to open the room. She called maintenance and he took like 5 minutes to open with some magnetic key. We were told we would have a key soon so we went out for dinner and came back and had a key done. The room was modern and very clean however too small. In the morning we gladly went down for hot breakfast and to our surprise there was nothing. Just coffee and pastries so to speak. I went to front desk to complain again and the same girl from the evening stated they were not serving hot breakfast yet. I was so upset and stated we were not told this. They are very misleading and need to get organized. I was extremely disappointed with my stay. They also had a pretty large market for goodies but had a sign saying "Closed Market" and stated they could not sell the items yet. So we had to go out to a deli and pick up...
