China One — Restaurant in City of Newburgh

Worst experience ever. I called after work for a pickup order and placed the order 30 mins before arriving at the establishment. The person that took my order was a very young man who when I arrived at the establishment was running around playing with another boy and playing on his video game console. When I finally gained entry into the establishment delayed because the young boy who took my order over the phone was playing with another boy blocking the door the establishment didn’t even have my order in the computer. The young boy who took my order over the phone never placed the order in the computer because he was too distracted by his video game console. No apology was giving I was just told it would take 10 mins and if I wanted to wait. Worst customer service I ever had. No one in the establishment knew what was going on will NOT be going back to establishment. The establishment really should have someone of age that is legally allowed to work and answer phones instead of a little boy to distracted by video games and playing with other kids . Never...

I’m relatively new to the area so I’ve waited a few times to give this place a chance, but enough is enough. This establishment has no concept of time management or customer service. I live about a mile away and it takes them over 2 1/2 hrs to make a delivery and when I finally get the food it is very mediocre at best. My last order/delivery I did via seamless , but cancelled after hour 3 hit and after several attempts were made by myself and seamless to reach someone by phone. Finally I tried a “pickup” order and had to awkwardly scream my order over what looked like a 10 year old kid cursing loudly at someone over a headset while playing Fortnite on the Xbox of which is posted right smack at the entrance so customers can be treated by this sight. Besides me learning a few more curse words my experience and food were horrible as well. My advice would be to take your business elsewhere they apparently don’t need money. This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant, the best in town. Delivery took forever, but the wait was worth it. Unfortunately, my last three orders were close to inedible and not what I ordered. Shrimp was disgustingly decomposed. Boneless rib tips substituted twice for BBB ribs on the bone were completely unchewable. Careless packing made sauces leak, causing the bag to rip wide open and dump its contents in the elevator. Repeated attempts to order lobster sauce with no shrimp were a miserable failure. Tonight I tried for an hour to place an order but was repeatedly placed on hold and disconnected. No one there understood even the most basic English. Avoid this place at any cost.
