MANAGER TOLD ME MY TRANSACTION WAS CANCELED THAT MY MONEY WOULD ROLL BACK ONTO MY GOOGLE WALLET HOWEVER I TRIED TO SHOW HER THAT THE TRANSACTION WAS NOT VOIDED LIKE SHE SAID, SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS DOING ME A COURTESY. WHICH IS CRAZY I CAME TO U FOR HELP WHICH IS YOUR JOB. MY EMAIL AND GOOGLE WALLET SHOWES TO TRANSACTION WAS COMPLETED THE FUNDS WAS TAKEN BUT NEVER RETURNED SO I TRY TO WALK AWAY FROM HER WITH MY CART OF FOOD, SHE PULLED THE CART AWAY HITTING MY FOOTAND TOLD ME "IF YOU TAKE THAT CART OF FOOD I WILL CALL THE POLICE" I ONCE AGAIN TRY TO SHOW HER THE COMPLETED TRANSACTION RECEIPT SHE JUST CONTINUED TO SHOUT AT ME HUMILIATING AND EMBRASSING ME. MY HEAD BEGAN TO HURT ME AND I WAS ON MY LUNCH BRK SO I JUST LEFT CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE GOT NO HELP OTHER THAN THE DISTRICT MANAGER WILL REACH OUT, MEAN WHILE I HAVE NO FRUITS AND I AM A DIABETIC PLUS HAVE SERVER ALLERGIES AND AM ON FRUITS ONLY WHICH I PAID FOR. THEY KEPT MY MONEY AND THE GROCERIES..... STILL NO ONE HAS SAID ANYTHING TO ME.... SHE ROBBED ME JACKIE IS A POOR EXCUSE OF MANAGEMENT SHE MAKE THE COMPANY LOOK BAD, IS WILL CAUSE PEOPLE LIKE ME TO NOT STEP FOOT BACK IN THERE.... Read moreTwo stars, because they still have the products I like and at reasonable price, but they recently installed self check out registers. There are two traditional conveyor belt registers, but may have only one cashier on duty. The other day.. I went in there, had a cart full and started un loading on to the belt. Then the cashier tells me that she is only taking cash there and told me to take my cart full and do it myself at the self ck register. She was telling everyone this. Sixty plus items, almost two hundred worth and I have do it myself. Very inefficient. There is not enough room at the self ck to ring up alot of items. The store was busey. Customer at each self ck and " cash " customers in line at the register. Various employees wondering around. Nobody opened the second register. I find out later that this has happened to Other people. The store spent money on new self ck registers and want you to use them, so they lie to you and tell you the cashier is only taking cash there. Apparently they will take a credit card at the register but you have to argue and fight for it!? Why should I have to convince the cashier to do their job? Very poor customer service now, it used to be very good. Just want everyone to know...
Read moreExcellent store to shop in and save $$$$ without compromising quality!!!! I have shopped at this Aldi for 17 years. The Newburgh store is my favorite. Anna is always very, very helpful. She is a very hard worker. She always has a smile on her face and makes time for the customers even when she is very busy! Two lady's who have worked there since before the first renovation are as helpful and hard working as they have always been! The other staff members are also hard working and helpful. Since this last renovation I often find that products that I need are not in stock. This causes me to have to go to Wappingers if I can wait. Otherwise I have to patronize other stores (the quality and prices are higher and its an inconvenience). This is a big problem and it seems to be happening weekly. The prices at Aldi also seem to be going up (although still reasonable) since the recent renovation. New home goods, shoes, sneakers etc. products are of good quality with great prices. I buy them often . The store seems to be short staffed at times. I don't mean to complain but it was suggested to me that I write these things in my review.
