Midnight Ferry — Restaurant in City of Newburgh

The waitress was very nice but unfortunately we waited so long for her to come back to the table to clear our entrees and take our desert order that the ice cream portion was “closed” when we walked by the window the ice cream servers were standing there doing nothing. I have never heard of a places where you sit down to eat and are told no to desert. Especially a scoop of icecream. There was a table that sat down, ordered ice cream and finished between the time we finished our food and started waiting to be cleared. The most irritating part was that we ate knowing we were going to order desert, and made it clear from the beginning to our waitress that we were having ice cream. So why would she not make sure our order was in before they closed?? The food was okay. The pretzel was the best part as well as the deviled eggs. And the waitress was nice enough to give us a 10 percent discount for regular issue. Also the women scooping standing at the ice cream window was disgustingly rude when I tried to order from there instead of waiting. Won’t...

Very disappointing experience. First, our total for 7 people ended in $.01. Since there is a fee to use credit cards we were paying cash. At first the cashier said the penny didn’t matter & she would give us dollar bills in change instead of counting out 99 cents. But then she held our money hostage & said we had to find the penny. Fortunately one person among our group of 7 had a penny. Then when we received our order, one item was incorrect. She had repeated back to us the correct item, but picked something different on her screen. Since the item that had been ordered was more expensive than the one we were charged for we just had to accept what we were given. But then another item was out of stock, so it was substituted with a lower priced item, but we were not refunded the difference. It’s too bad I didn’t pay with a credit card, at least then I could dispute the charge, but since we paid cash we’re just out the money.
