Went here expecting a Good Experience, but that's not what we received. The greeter seemed, "bothered," she did not smile once. But that may be her demeanor. Was told it would be a 20-30 minute wait. We were happy when the greeter was able to seat us within 10 minutes. However, we waited about another 25 minutes just to order our drinks. We received our drinks about 5 minutes after ordering them, no straws. And was unable to ask for them because the waitress quickly walked off prior to us being able to ask her. After about 20 minutes, my husband just went to the bar and retrieved some straws. When my husband was finally able to drink his Sierra Mist, it was just the bitter carbonated water. We informed our waitress and she did attempt to fix the issue. But when she remade the drink, the same thing happened. She asked what else he would like to drink, but the only choices were dark colored sodas and tea, he does not drink either. He just went ahead and ordered water. After receiving the water, we ordered our food. I received my salad about 10 minutes later. It had ginger dressing on it instead of the ranch I ordered. After about 7 minutes the waitress came back, I reminded her I wanted Ranch on my salad. She did get me a new one. If nothing else, our waitress was friendly. After eating my salad we preceded to wait for our entrees. While waiting, my husband had enough time to go to the convenience store, get a sprite, and come back. Our food still had not come. Just FYI, it was not terribly busy in there. While waiting, a couple who was seated after us had received there food and left. Also, the couple seated at about the same time we were also received there food and left. Another party was seated at the bar about 20 minutes after we were seated received there food prior to us. We finally received our food about 45-50 minutes later, if not longer. The food was ok. However, either the Hibachi sauce or the lobster was very salty. It would have been a good entree had it not been for the saltiness. Oh yeah, I ordered the hibachi seafood combo. We informed the waitress, about my entree, she asked the manager to come to our table, he did. I explained what was wrong with my entree. I also asked, what may have been the reason for the delay in us getting our food. He did explain what may have happened and that he would compensate for the problems I addressed. Oh yeah, my husband said his food was good, he just did not like the delay in receiving it. He ordered the chicken and steak house fried rice. Also, just a side note, as we were waiting and eating, I noticed our waitress was very attentive to another table in front of us, with a big party, which was seated after us. After eating, we were ready for the check, we had to again wait for that. And guess what, "the table with the big party" in front of us, even received there food while we were waiting on our check🙄. While waiting, I realized I never received my soup or my two pieces of shrimp( which comes with the Hibachi Dinner). After serving the big table, I had to stop her, and I asked her about it. She said the 2 extra pieces of shrimp come on the entree. And she apologized for forgetting the soup. She said she would remove the cost of the soup from our bill and still give me the soup. When she brought the soup out, she also brought us the bill. We still had to wait to pay. All total, we were there for about 2 hours. We finally were able to pay for our food, with a 10% discount and the soup removed from our bill. Question to the reader, was that compensation enough🤔??? Also, we did tip 18%. We usually tip 20%-25%, depending on the service. As I stated earlier this was not a good experience. We were just looking for a nice place to eat on our 20th Anniversary Vacation!!!! Unfortunately, that is definitely not what we received.

Read more1 Star is too high. Bad food, worse service, even worse rude "manager"...
Juices end up getting burned on the hot stones and smelling bad especially since there is poor ventilation. The name and concept seemed cool and there are so many good reviews (how?!) that we stopped to try it while visiting the Falls this weekend. We weren't planning to get Hibachi as we wanted to try the unique 800 degree stone cooking experience (not good) but beware:
If you are looking for hibachi all the cooking is done in the kitchen. We got there about 1.5 hours before closing and apparently got the last 3 stones they had as after ordering we overheard a nearby table of 2 being told that there were no stones left (interesting when this is the whole point of the restaurant). They were not happy and I don't blame them...
Our server was one of the worst we have ever had anywhere. No personality, not friendly nor rude but not attentive at all either and a very poor communicator. Asked if we were ready to order and then when we asked for another minute disappeared forever. Finally took our order after bringing drinks with no straws (2 sodas without mentioning that the drink from the bar was still being made). Never offered to refill any of our drinks through the entire meal. Stopped once after we had long run out of our first drinks and asked if we needed anything (while ignoring the empty glasses). I asked for another coke without ice since the first was watered down from the start and was about to ask for another drink for my wife and she just said "ok" and hurried away before I could even finish asking for my soda. (It was warm without the ice when it arrived so apparently that's why it was watered down with the ice to begin with - the warm soda melts the ice right away)...
Ordered Filet Mignon and received a mangled mess of meat vs the 2 other steaks we ordered which looked good. Mine was tough and it looked like it was put together from scraps. The concept of cooking on a hot stone at the table seemed cool but in reality it just results in burning juices on the stone which linger at the table with no ventilation. There are no house sauces for the meat and the A1 bottle they brought after I asked about sauces was disgustingly dirty - the label was wrinkly and tan from being so wet and dirty so I didn't even use it...
The sides were bland. The sushi was ok. There was an upcharge on the bill for soy paper which was never mentioned when we asked for it nor was it in the menu...
After our meal which we didn't complain about that nor the service (we usually do not complain), my wife needed to use the restroom. She left the table at 9:58 (they "close" at 10pm whatever that means - usually restaurants seat tables 30-60 minutes before closing so I would not have expected to be rushed out at 10:03)... at 10:03, someone comes over while we are waiting for my wife to finish up in the bathroom who seems to be a manager. He says: "We are trying to close up and need to clean your table; you are holding us up; you need to leave the table." I replied "my wife is in the bathroom and should be done soon... we will leave when she's done." He says "you will need to wait in the chairs by the front door so we can finish cleaning." I told him we'd leave the table and go wait by the restroom (I'm not leaving my wife in the restaurant wondering where we are when she comes out of the bathroom) and he rolled his eyes and seemed disgusted about the whole thing... absurd.
Will NOT be back and very happy that our plans to include some family visiting from out of state did not work out - would have been SO embarrassed to have included them in...
Read moreThis was my first time at this fairly new restaurant. I will begin with the positive: my medium-rare hibachi filet mignon and scallops were very flavorfully divine. The scallops were large with a golden sear on the outside and a tender juicy inside, the salmon rolls and lobster rolls were delicious. The Mai Tai I ordered had a sweet pineapple /orange flavor, complimenting the rum, with a hint of cherry flavor. Loved it! Overall, the place was really nice inside, with a patio on the outside. The place was packed, which is great for our city. You could feel the energy and excitement on scene.
Would I recommend this place?? ABSOLUTELY, but not so fast— I would say WAIT(being the operative word). Give the place time to work out the KINKS. We waited, waited, and waited for almost an hour to receive our appetizers and 1st drink. It was another 20 minutes for a second round. When our meals finally came about an hour and a half later, they were slowly and sporadically served. Two came, then another trickled out about five minutes after, then two more, this went on for half an hour. Nobody really ate together, and one person finally received their meal when most of us were completely done.
We didn’t blame our server, as he was quite obviously frustrated, knowing his table was not real happy, as he waited and waited for the food to be plated and drinks to be made. When the manager came over and was informed, he DID NOTHING except make excuses - very busy, large party outside, blah blah blah. A manager should make it HIS job to ensure the customers leave happy. He made no gesture to compensate for shortcomings.
All and all if I separated my ratings, I’d give the food, drinks, and decor 5 stars. For the agonizing WAIT time, 2 stars, and I’m be gracious by taking the newness of the place into consideration. Manager gets one star for coming out to speak to the table, yet his failure to make sure that guests become return patrons, by taking something off the bill, giving a round of “drinks are on the House (for you Goodfellas fans),” or offering complimentary dessert for the table. He really dropped the ball on that one. So, do go — but WAIT a bit until they work out...
