Grew up eating with the bread and broccoli pizza from this hometown favorite. One of my favorite places to hang out after school as a kid, down on Pine. Got all my birthday cakes from here. Always greater with a smile. I moved uptown and I brought my son to the NF Blvd location to check it out, show him a piece of his town. The greeting wasn’t warm but the donuts taste just like I remembered, heaven. Bread is amazing as ever. Cookies were hard as a rock though, not sure what happened there, even tried to warm them up to avail. Either way! Best place to get amazing fresh bread, donuts and other baked goods. We stopped here on a group tour and had sandwiches. They were delicious. And since we were leaving the following day, we ended up back at the Bakery for provisions for our trip. Again, sandwiches and so not disappointed!

We also got a loaf of their scaletta Italian bread. I know what you're thinking -- it's bread. But no, you are wrong. This is a delicious bread with the most wonderful crust, perfect crumb and just amazing mouthfeel. I bake bread, and while I want to say making a copy of their scaletta is something I can do, I really feel like a newbie facing off against the majors here.
