The stay was pretty decent, the staff was all really nice especially Robert who goes far and beyond. Clean quiet hotel. Only complaint was house keeping forgot to clean the room one day after I did order service for it to be cleaned the day before. We were told she forgot which is unacceptable. However things happen I think maybe she was the only housekeeper that day and they were understaffed. This did not ruin my trip. Everyone was friendly including housekeeping. Loved how the shuttle service stops in front of the hotel to take you around to various locations in Niagara Falls free of service for guest. It's part of their transit system in Niagara falls and while your a guest at the hotel you get access to the service. Cold finger food type breakfast cereal, juice milk coffee and some other light items. Cold meaning this is not a hot serving breakfast bar like pancakes. Just a little something to get you going. For a Super 8 this hotel was actually good. Although it's an older property it's well kept and clean. I am extremely OCD and never felt crossed out. So glad pets are not allowed. Pets make hotels stink. The hotel has no elevator however it's only two floors and the second floor is so quiet. Hotel has a seven eleven in walking distance as well as a Dennys in walking distance. A really good Italian restaurant across the street with to dye for pizza and calamari. The shuttle bus takes you straight in front of the casinos as well as it drops you off by the Rainbow bridge to cross the Border to enter the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. It always makes stops at the outlets if you want to shop. Cars are not needed keep cars parked at the hotel use the shuttle service. We flew in and used uber lyft and the shuttle service. The rooms are typical two Double beds Tv bench and rack for clothes. The only thing I don't like is shower curtains in the older hotels however it was clean. Not enough outlets in the room, we all just shared the charger...
Read moreI had reserved two rooms (232,234) from 23rd June till 26th June.Below is the sequence of unpleasant experience i had.
At the time of booking Surinder who was at the front desk held the rooms stating that since i am checking in late the rooms would be available at discounted prices. When i reached the hotel he charged the full amount and acknowledged his mistake. He said he would leave a note to his manager Robert to ratify the charges.THAT NEVER HAPPENED till date
The entire stay was a dreadful experience. The rooms where we stayed did not have any housekeeping activities done.Only on our request trash was picked up on day 2 and towels were changed. Beds were not done on either days.NO DO NOT DISTURB SIGN was hanging on the door and NO VALUABLES were on the bed in either room Rooms were not cleaned.NO DO NOT DISTURB SIGN was hanging on the door and NO VALUABLES were on the bed in either room.
Upon complaining to the front desk on Sunday night(25th),Mike who was at the reception said he would leave a note to the manager again and said this this service was not acceptable.
Since then i have made couple of calls to the hotel and Surinder said that the manager would get back correcting the rates for the first day for both rooms. No one called up.
I spoke to the corporate customer service(since no one responded from the hotel) and they said if no one calls me up last week then someone from wyndham would call me.THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED.
The service and response has been an insult to the...
Read moreThe concierge who works during the day was awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable about alternative entertainment options for those of us without passports. He was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable but I didn't feel like the pillows were of adequate size for the bed. Extremely small. Very flat. The place was clean, but had a very distinct stale cigarette odor which was off-putting, especially since the entire building was smoke free. The breakfast would have been awesome, except for the fact that EVERYTHING was breads or cereals (or waffles) and I'm unable to eat it. Yogurt or fruit (or some other gluten free options) would have been nice. Also, (and I realize that this isn't the fault of the hotel) we were surrounded by a very clearly foreign LARGE group who every morning would prop the doors open with the metal lock bars and just let them bang shut. In and out for several hours beginning very early in the morning. When I asked them to please stop letting the doors BANG shut repeatedly, they just kept doing it. Very frustrating for us, as we wanted to be able to sleep, and every few minutes the doors ALL AROUND US would bang shut on those metal door stoppers. For hours. All in all, it was an okay stay. The concierge was great, though. Older, darker hair and glasses. Wish I'd asked his name so I could...
