Just Say Cheesecake — Restaurant in City of North Tonawanda

I found the clerk behind the counter very rude and argumentative. I explained this is my first visit and asked a few questions. One question was....is your cheese cake actually A New York style cheese cake as in slightly dry and crumbly? She said " Oh no it is moist and creamy" . My reply was well that would not be actual New York style. Her attitude became rude and said.. oh yes it is. I said perhaps your version but not authentic. Her reply even more aggressive with yes it is! I stopped at that point and said I would at least give a try and bought 2 slices. (My intent was to buy 2 large full cakes for guest I coming having the following day) . Along with the slices I also purchased 2 eclairs. The clerk said they were doubled filled with half whipped cream and half custard. Normally I purchased custard as I do not care for whipped cream. My boyfriend adores whipped cream. I Though hummmm perfect shearable treat. Except....both eclairs where filled with approximately three inches of whipped cream only. Gross even by my boyfriends standards who could eat a large amount of whipped cream. Zero custard in either of the two eclairs I purchased. After paying the clerk for the order she gave me back my card and receipt walked away without a thank you nor another word. Horrible client experience and deception. " Just say cheese cake" to me is now " say No thank you" it is always in good taste to...

Our wedding cake was designed and baked by Say Cheesecake in 1994. It was delicious and gorgeous. Since then…we have had every anniversary, birthday, sacrament and special occasion cake baked by Say Cheesecake. We like white cake with buttercream frosting and know they require a 48 hour notice. We know to eek the order in on time. We have followed them to Tonawanda even though it is a 40 minute drive for us. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary on the 24th and so today, the 21st, I called to order our cake. A woman answered and given her tone just by answering the phone, I could tell I was annoying her by my call even though they rely on orders to be successful. When I was calling in our order, she immediately said it was impossible as they are closed Sunday and Monday! She could have cared less what my occasion was or that we have been customers for 30 years. This is incredibly disappointing. Does a cake make a marriage…no! But tradition is super important to us and I really wanted my favorite cake on our special day. Wow! Without a question the best Cheesecake I've ever had. The flavors are strong, but the Cheesecake is super light. Even the non sugar-free options TASTE sugar free. They don't feel heavy and you don't feel gross after. They also sell sugar-free Cheesecake but it's best to order ahead. They have several single serve samples in the display. They serve food and drink too but I didn't try any. The new location is beautiful and very well designed. Drove a very long distance to get these cakes and 100% will return for more. Got strawberry, plain and lemon.. WOW

Edit January 18th: We met with both owners for catering services.

1- we discovered they have BOMB in house coffee.. 10/10 quality MUST TRY.

2- the owners are super kind, funny and down to earth. They were extremely willing to work with us on our catering needs and were negotiable on everything.

3- we signed the contract for catered dinner and catered desert on the spot.. That's how blown away we were 2ith their personalities and pricing. I will update this after our catering is completed with the results
