D-Ray's Pizzeria — Restaurant in City of Oneida

The variety of "unique" flavors of pizza is incredible! I'd say this is probably some of the best pizza I've had between Utica, Rome and Oneida. One type of pizza I was VERY skeptical about was the pickle pizza... But, WOW! That's my new favorite! The lasagna pizza, rodeo pizza, loaded french fry pizza, Reuben pizza... I could go on and on with so many awesome pizzas I've tried there, AND THEY WERE ALL GOOD! ....Minus the french fry pizza. That's probably my least favorite. But it's not a bad tasting pizza! It's just not my taste. Maybe if it was done differently I might like it more.

Service is great! They offer to warm up the pizza for us to eat, then deliver it to the table. And they're always in a good mood! (I love that about the staff.)

The atmosphere isnt the best. But, honestly, who really cares? It shares the same building as a mechanic. Which is unique in itself. Basic setup... Showcase the pizza, check out counter, a few tables, a couple of basic hard bottom booths. The upside is all of the tables are out in a room full of windows. Which, to me, I love! I'd rather feel openness than feel claustrophobic in a small windowless room.

Overall, the pizza is unique and incredible! The service and staff are just wonderful people! But, the atmosphere is just basic. Which is totally fine! I'm not going there to feel like I'm being transported to Italy. For what it is, it...

I don't like to leave negative reviews. Often a bad experience with a business is just one bad day, but that is not the case here. Two stars because the food is indeed fantastic. Unique in the area, and better by far than any other local pizza. That said, the service has deteriorated regularly. Every one is polite, but wait times are excessive. Order online for either delivery or pickup and you get a time for your order to be ready. Delivery is typically 70 - 75 minutes. That's a long wait, but the actual delivery is 30 - 60 minutes beyond the delivery time stated. This has been the case the last 4 times we've ordered. They are apologetic if you call to check, always stating they 'got really busy'. One would reasonably expect that orders are prepared in the order received, but that is clearly not the case. Tonight the pizza was apparently tipped on it's side in transit...see pictures. Pizza, no matter how good, is not worth a 2 hour wait, and when it arrives like this, it's time...

Stopped to grab a slice, saw it ranked fairly well so why not. The place looked closed, no cars in the lot on a Sunday afternoon, but the sign said open.

Ordered premade slices, got a Chicken Bacon Ranch and a Buffalo Chicken Wing slice. Usually when trying a new place, I'll do cheese and pepperoni/sausage slices, but those didn't look as fresh as these two.

Overall it was good. BCW was a little dry, and I ended up not finishing it. CBR was pretty good. Very filling. Would have been better fresh, but that's just a timing thing. Good mix of ranch and bacon a lot of places over do one or the other but this was a good blend.

Staff was very chill. Food came out fast, and the place was very clean, albeit empty.

Did it blow me away? Not really. Was it bad? Not at all. Better than average, but just. I am going to go back for that cheese slice tho. And I might as well try their wings...
