I have gone to this Dennys many times going when a was a young kid to bringing my kids. Tonight we decided to dine in. It started off okay being sat pretty quickly. The server comes over and asks what we would like to drink I asked for Dr pepper to which I was informed they were out of (which wasn't a major deal). So I then ask for a sweet tea and got told they only had raspberry tea. Again not a big deal. We order our drinks and he begins to take our order and I asked for the lasagna which I was met with again "we are out of it". Then we were finally told what the were out of. Which was Dr pepper. Lasagna, nacho and salmon. The problem is every time I go into this Dennys they are always out of something that I happen to order that visit but they do not advise you until you try to order it.
So we place our orders keep in mind we can see into the kitchen. We begin to hear some yelling in the kitchen. I don't know if this young male was a manager or not but he came completely unglued yelling at his server our waiter about the way an order was placed yelling about how a guest wanted a different type of cheese in an omelet then that came normally. This guy continued yelling for approximately 5 to 6 minutes. He began to "bully" his waiter who tried to explain what had happened but this individual in the kitchen yelling didn't care and continued yelling. He began to yell again. Yelling at the servers (keep in mind only 2 waiters actively working with a total of 25+ guest in the restaurant). This time he was yelling because no server was grabbing the food as soon as he put it in to the window for service. There was not more then a minute between him placing the food and him yelling. Completely unprofessional to be yelling like that where guests can hear. To make things worse at one point he yelled at his 2 servers that "they all were getting written up" there is no reason to tell the entire restaurant disciplinary actions being taking. Which was not even justified.
At this point I believe a Door Dasher came in to pick a mobile order. The Dasher waited at least 20 minutes for the order to be completed. With this individual in the kitchen yelling still for someone to finish the order. Then the waiters argued back and forth about who was going to finish the order and who was not busy. Then one server asked the other one if he had picked tips up off of two tables accusing him of stealing his tips. When the server picked it up so it was not still in the table as the servers "were to busy"
Our food finally came and it was messed up. One ordered the birthday cake pancakes with frosting and sprinkles. It didn't come with it and the other was missing bbq sauce on the sandwich. When telling the waiter he made the comment "the kitchen keeps messing up." Extremely unprofessional. We asked for napkins, side of mayo and refills. To which we got napkins quickly. But the mayo and refills took 10 minutes. Honestly I can't blame our waiter because he was being yelled at so bad in front of guest that he was getting frustrated. The only thing the waiter did that i blame him for is making the comment about the kitchen messing up and swearing. Then having to pay the amount we did for what was going on. Very disappointing
Overall this was a very poor service. Dennys use to be a staple. Use to look forward to going there. Now it's almost a chore to sit through a meal service there. Read moreListen we went during a dinner rush. They were very short staffed. The waiter was very scattered. Apologetic but scattered. He took our drink order 3 times. Then we waited almost 20 minutes before we even got to place our order. Now mind you we have 2 toddlers with little attention spand. After taking our order it took an additional 45 minutes for them to come out and tell me then didn't have what they needed to make my food and if i wanted to change it up. I gave him the order. My families food came and they all eat before he finally came back and asked if we wanted the bill. I told himi hadn't received my food yet. So he went a d got the manager. The manager asked what he could do to make me happy i said maybe give me my good to go and just don't charge me for my sandwich. He seemed all for it. Until we got my food and bill 20 minutes later. The sandwich was still on the bill. When the server asked the manager about taking the sandwich off the bill he said she got her food she needa to pay for it. The server apologize a ton of times and tried getting things to come off our bill. I. Was not really happy with the service. I had tk take my kids home and eat my food cold because i had to put my kids to bed first. Read moreOn 6/25 we went to your establishment waited 20 minutes and I had to ask somebody. If there was a waiter and they told us they were understaffed, and someone would be with us shortly. We waited another 15 minutes before some young gentleme came and took our orders. Drinks and food all in one order. We received our drinks rather quickly. Then, after 45 minutes, the same waiter came over to our table and said. Has anybody taken your food order? And we said yes, you did. He said hold on just a second and walked away and went out back, He then came back to us and said he had lost our order. And asked us what we would like to do next. And we said we were leaving the establishment that we were not going to wait another hour for our food, as there were 6 other orders ahead of ours, and all he did was apologize that they were short staffed. We witnessed one kid that they were calling Matt. Place his hand with no glove on/in 2 people's different foods to see if they were still warm before taking them to their tables.. The woman's bathrooms were disgusting, 2 of the stalls had no toilet paper in them. And it looked like they had not been cleaned in days. I will never return to this establishment.
