DD app told me order submitted & asked if I was ready for them to start prep. I clicked yes & it gave me a receipt, QR code, etc. I use the app all the time with zero fuss at Kellogg Rd in New Hartford. I dunno about you but I hate fighting to be heard at drive thru windows when I am healthy, let alone now when I am too injured to be the driver. It's much easier on my driver when they just have to say we ordered through the app and it's all paid for, etc. This did not happen here. Should have been a slower time, 330 pm on a stressful day for us where we really needed some decent strong coffee and had skipped breakfast and lunch! Well, what we got was attitude from the ordertaker at the window, then his supervisor. My driver, seeing as how when we pulled in there were several cars ahead of us and a line forming behind us, didn't want to be "that guy" so moved ahead to let them deal with the next customer. He planned to go inside, but the way this DD is set up is pretty inconvenient. Once you go past the window, there's no way back to the entrance within the lot. You have to turn onto the busy main road then find your way back. Well, he finally made it back around and ran inside with my phone because like I said, I am injured and slow and crutches are a pain. Turns out I am the villain for not hitting the "order button" somehow. Well, I did, but the longer we nitpick the longer we wait for our coffee. Why didn't they just take our order at the window if it didn't work? I don't need to hear again how you never got the order. Re n Finally we did get our stuff but the $6+ coffees we ordered were regular blend, not cinammon, no whipped cream, etc. Bottom line: too long a wait for substandard...
Read moreThe location in Oneida, NY needs to be closed down temporarily until more staff is found to assist with making beverages, food, and attending to customers. If this can’t be done then it needs to be permanently closed.
This is the worst location that I have ever been to so I have stopped going. In past visits, the wait times in the drive thru have ranged from 10-30 minutes, my beverage is typically made incorrectly or improperly, I was charged for an iced water with a purchase due to “the cost of the cup” but went to a different location nearby (in Verona, NY) and was not charged for an iced water, and the customer service has always been poor. According to staff when I questioned what has been going on, I was told that there is not currently a manager at the Oneida location and there is typically only 3-4 employees working throughout the day resulting in long wait times. There is also a sign that states their hours have shortened due to short staff and they are now open only 4AM-6PM. Additionally, the parking situation and drive thru line need to be fixed, it is difficult to park and go inside to get a beverage then try to get out of your parking spot to leave, the drive thru line is narrow and there isn’t much room for cars to fit in the line without being in the way of oncoming traffic. The doors are locked often with a sign saying short staffed on the door as well so the only way to get a beverage is wait in the drive thru that takes 10-30 minutes to get a single beverage. Will not be returning to the...
Read moreLeft the drive thru today very upset. The women was clearly in a hurry from the the sound of her voice when I ordered. I let it go thanked her and drove to the window. (No line behind me) Get to the window. She hands me my receipt, card and while I am reaching for that she let's go to hand me my food and my card falls to the ground. No offer to come around to get it. I was very annoyed because she was trying to hurry and I called her out on it. Still no one behind me. I am handicapped that's why I use the drive-thru. I had to pull ahead and get out to retrieve my card. I carefully walk back to find my card. Luckily I had my car to hang onto for balance. (Still no one in line). I get back in my vehicle take a second to compose myself check my mirrors to pull away and see a women who is now at the window clearly laughing at my expense with the worker. When she realized I saw her she knew I saw them. I left there feeling humiliated at that point. I ended up pulling over in another parking area to truly compose myself. I'm not one to let something ruin my day. I am however still upset. She embarrassed me and to share with another customer as if I did something wrong was just wrong on her part. I am not a huge Dunkin fan to begin with since I don't drink coffee but I sure won't be going out of my way to go to the...
