Late night eat. Came across Wonzones Calzones walking down a side street. I hadn't had a Calzone in ages so thought I would give it a try. Store overall wasn't the best looking place but wasn't the worst either. It's I guess is a college area so you can't expect a fancy place. It was pretty clean looking. The Calzone itself was very good. I ordered a Philly and had some chicken fingers. The crust was very good and tasty. Great cheese and fresh vegetables. The steak wasn't really like a Philly Steak Sandwich Steak...... thinly sliced. It was more like small chunks. It was also a little chewy. The steak flavor was okay. The marinara sauce was good. The chicken fingers were good but very basic. They had a good taste. The sauces were pretty basic as well. I would probably try another Calzone which means I would most likely go again. So, I went back with a couple people. I ordered fries and chicken wings. 6 wings and the fries came out to twenty dollars.....😳 The wings are expensive but they were very good wings. The fries are expensive and I am not a fan of them. The people that came with me said that the calzones were okay. They both ordered different types.

An absolute home run ! Where do i begin, the atmosphere was welcoming and communal. Clearly an important part of the local community. A wall of pictures of past customers and friends demonstrates the love the Oswego area has for Wonzones. The food is top notch, probably because every ingredient was fresh, no exceptions. The cheese, the crust, and the unbelievably large selection of custom calzone makes this place a must have. The owners are beyond friendly and will certainly spark up a conversation. Understand, I have dined at Wonzones several times before reviewing, every time was spot on, I only wish I lived closer so I could enjoy it more. I highly recommend dining here. A 6 star calzone imo ✨️

This restaurant if you can even compare it to any restaurant on earth is not only a place where you find exquisite food and delectable taste, but you will be pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and sense of family you will see by the workers and other customers while they order. In Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Kubla Khan his first stanza he states

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan A stately pleasure-dome decree: Where Alph, the sacred river, ran Through caverns measureless to man Down to a sunless sea. So twice five miles of fertile ground With walls and towers were girdled round; And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills, Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree; And here were forests ancient as the hills, Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

Coleridge is not just speaking about a place Devine like heaven. Heaven is only visited after death and that has been true for thousands of years. But since the opening of Wonzones Calzones in 2009 only the few who live in Oswego New York have been able to see Heaven on earth. When first walking into Wonzones Calzones (The most tasteful restaurant on earth) I had decided to order there most popular Calzone, the Tom Cat. Biting into this exquisite piece of art had me going through a multitude of emotions. I felt as if the earth had stopped it’s rotation around the sun, earths sidereal period of rotation that moves approximately 460 meter per second had come to a full stop… Just for me to enjoy my Tom Cat with no interruptions.

My final statement I will make about the restaurant Wonzones Calzones is that it takes all my power every day not to drive 6 hours to Oswego on Lake Ontario, just to get a sweet elevating taste of one of Wonzones...

I ordered for delivery because I had Covid.

I tried to eat here several times before, and decided to give it another chance. Especially because the inside looks absolutely gross, and not well kept.

The delivery driver was rude. I told the owner, I HAD Covid before the delivery. He kept brushing me off, acting like I didn’t say the above, and acted in the same mannerism as the driver. Just an absolute __ about it.

I ordered over $35 worth of food; it sucked. Not because I’m upset by this experience either. All this site specializes in, is calzones; it has no flavor, just melted cheese grease. I don’t want to get you sick with COVID. I am trying to be conscientious of the fact. My roommate wound up getting the food. Because otherwise they were still going to charge me for the order, that I wouldn’t have received.

The food downstate is way better than anything here. Go to D.P. Dough or Pie Guys, WAY...
