Wildly disappointing experience, especially since Peekskill is in dire need of good Asian cuisine. If you’ve had excellent ramen before, don’t even bother. If you’ve had good ramen before, you’d be disappointed. If you’ve never had ramen, I’d still recommend a pass. I got the miso ramen with chashu. It was bad. Really bad. The broth is weirdly oily and tastes mainly of dashi and something sickly sweet. Not a drop of miso or umami detected. The chashu was embarrassing: stringy, tough and in 5 sad pieces. For some reason there was corn and spinach? The noodles did not have the toothiness that fresh ones do. You only get only half of an over boiled, unmarinated egg and the tiniest little slice of naruto I’ve ever seen. No menma or green onion. Overall the whole bowl was very unpleasant. I had 4 bites and then asked for the check. The place is clean (though the sushi bar is unusually pungent) and the staff wasn’t unpleasant, so I’d probably give more than one star - except 3 different people asked me if I wanted to take my uneaten ramen to go, and when I said I didn’t like it, they didn’t ask any follow up questions or apologize. I wasn’t trying to get a free meal, I was clearly paying, but they were either complacent or too scared to get feedback. (Based on other reviews, I’m guessing the later.) Why waste your money on bad, inauthentic, expensive ramen when you could be spending it on literally anything else? Outside of ramen, there was a pretty good sake selection, but $11 for cup sake (like the kind you buy at a conbini) is robbery. Additionally, the menu as a whole lacked any seasonality at all - you’d think featuring a cold noodle dish would be a winner in the summer. But there doesn’t seem to be much thought going on here. There were no...

Falls well short of expectations. Came with a group of friends and drove a little out of our way for this spot since we were craving ramen. Walking from the front, through the kitchen, was an interesting experience, however, the seating area is a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Ordered our appetizer and it was a different version of what we expected (Korean vs Japanese), and then the ramen came. Difference between extra spicy and regular were nonexistent, a bottle of siracha sauce was provided, which is a red flag, and not something expected from ramen establishments but more what you would expect for pho. The noodles used were similar in consistency to Top Ramen noodles, the broth was like flavored water, lacking in the flavors one would expect from ramen. The meat used was also not the typical meat that is used in ramen dishes. All in all, no one finished their meals and we had to find food elsewhere after coming here. I guess if you aren't used to what ramen tastes like, and just looking for something warm to eat that looks aesthetically similar to ramen, then this is the spot to go. But I wouldn't come again, there are plenty of other options out there. Solid 1/10 recommendation. Have a hard time understanding the high ratings...

Ramenesque in Peekskill, NY, offers authentic Japanese and Thai cuisine with a focus on ramen and sushi.

Walking in you feel the warm and inviting ambiance with soft lighting and tasteful Asian decor. It’s perfect for a relaxing meal, with a cozy setting that feels like a community hub. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Even the owner hangs out to talk to all their guests.

The Dan Dan ramen, is rich and savory with a chilli punch that is not overwhelming. The noodles are firm paired with succulent chicken and runny egg. Paired with a strawberry or pineapple nigori sake makes for a tastey hot sweet combo. And an amazing burst of flavors.

Most of all, you must try the miso soup. It really is the best I have every had and is the one I judge all others by. Its a perfect blend. Not too salty and nothing but flavor. There isn't a better miso soup anywhere is the area.

If you are interested is Thai, you can not go wrong with the green Thai curry chicken. Full of flavor and warm spice. You can tell its truly done with authentic ingredients.

Everything I have heated here is packed with flavors and keep me coming back for years.

If you want excellent Japanese and Thai flavors this is the...

Have ordered a handful of times and I’m sure I will continue in the future. I’ve tried Dan Dan Ramen, Miso Ramen, and Nin’ Niku Ramen. I like the first 2 equally. Nin’ Niku was good with chicken, it is pretty heavy on garlic flavor so you have to be in the mood for that. My significant other always gets beef brisket with extra protein and likes the Tonkatsu. He tried the Shoyu and said it was too salty for his taste. I’m not sure what kind of pork they use but it is a bit smoky and slightly overpowering in flavor. I prefer a traditional pork belly. Would bump up the rating to a 5 if the pork choice were improved. I will probably try the brisket as an alternative. Overall I do recommend but you may have to sample around to find what you like. I’ve ordered delivery and picked up. The atmosphere looks very nice with a bar at the front. When the weather gets better I would definitely stop by.

Absolutely missed this place when it left the Thornwood location. After finding it again, I have to say it’s remained super consistent. Pictured are the bulgogi buns, tonkatsu ramen, chocolate mochi cake and green tea ice cream. The service was super friendly and attentive on a Sunday night. Though it was quiet around 5pm, it filled out around 6pm with visitors and regular customers. The bar has plenty of seating along with their rear sushi bar. One item I forgot to picture was the yellowtail scallion roll which was also a great appetizer to share. If you’re in the area and looking for great tasting ramen, visit RameNesque. You will be glad you did.

This restaurant was on my go-to list for Ramen for the past two years and finally, I got a chance to visit. The ambiance was minimalist and welcoming. Nikki the owner was so nice she kept on checking on us if we liked the food or not. We ordered vegetarian gyoza and they were all made from scratch the same morning. The same outer layer was a thing and just perfect. We ordered Tom yum ramen that had a little Thai inclination to the taste like the Tom yum soup and it was delicious too. And ordered vegetarian spicy tofu donburi it was just amazing. Love to visit the place again since Winter is coming and Ramen is comforting!
