Quaint establishment, and I have been dining there since it opened. I will however, never dine there again in the future! Please be cautious when making reservations! I made a reservation weeks before my father's birthday for brunch, and when we arrived we were directed to the upstairs seating area. There was a 20-25 person party (an insanely rowdy bunch) and our six person table squeezed into the tiny area. When I asked to be moved because of the screaming patrons (not exaggerating - not sure that I am painting a clear enough picture of the disorderly behavior, the hostess was taking phone calls from outside of the restaurant because she could not hear) the manager/owner told me that it was the only available table. Not true! I was looking at 4-5 empty tables, however according to the manager those tables were reserved...so was my table! He then proceeded to tell me that he did not know that I was dining with a child (a 13 year old) - the person taking the reservation did not ask who I was dining with and no person regardless of their age should be subjected to dining in those conditions! It is not often that an establishment makes an error and blames the customers... reservations should not be taken if you cannot accommodate your customers! If you are booking a party, book the party and turn reservations away. Also, please train management to minimize reputation risk, blaming a returning customer (or any customer for that matter) for your error is rude and unprofessional. No apology from anyone at the restaurant, why make a bad customer experience worse?...I was forced to leave the restaurant with my family. The service, food, and experience at the Hudson Valley Steakhouse was...
Read moreVisited this establishment this evening 6/24/25. We were warmly welcomed by the bartender/server Colin and server Douglas. We placed our drink order. I had the Ruby Frost, my mother had the Garden Party and my father had the Guilty Pleasure. The drinks were spectacular, and our bartender Colin who only had been bartending for a week, let me tell you, a master of his craft! Check out his work! Now to the food, we started off with Tapas, the marinated olives, perfect balance of flavors in a marinade of a variety olives. Bacon wrapped dates, an absolutely delightful bite, crunchy toasted pecan center and caramelized date, met with the smokiness of the applewood smoked bacon. The Crouqetas were fried to perfection and had a nice spicy element of the chorizo & creaminess of the potato nice and crispy paired beautifully with the mango habanero sauce. Now to our entrees, I had the paella marinera, an beautiful symphony of chorizo, seafood & sofrito rice, with spanish flavors. My mother had the pernil, a fan favorite, she absolutely loved it. My father had the Seafood Stew, he enjoyed it. Now to conclude our beautiful evening, dessert is a must! I opted for the coconut flan, let me tell you, it's out of this world heavenly! The coconut flan paired with vanilla was excellent and the caramel sauce was so decadent. My parents split the churros, they both agreed it's the best churros they had in a long time. Now to the conclusion of this outstanding establishment, the food, atmosphere and service was absolutely an exemplary of excellence! As a Culinarian/Foodie I Highly Recommend Iron Vine Tapas Bar And Restaurant! Check Them Out! Tell them...
Read moreFood, service, and ambience were all bad. Took ~20 minutes to get the waitress to take our order even after getting the hostess/bus girl’s attention twice. They forgot half of our drinks and had to remind the girl our order. Food came out about 30 minutes after ordering. No one really enjoyed their meal too much and the frier oil looked and tasted like it needed to be changed out yesterday (had to toss all my fries). Waitress never came over to ask how everything was for us to mention it.
When it came time for the check we kept trying to flag the waitress down but she was too busy talking to her friends at the bar. Good thing there’s a mandatory tip for parties over 5 people (insert sarcasm here).
Ambience - The place is nicely decorated and has a cool vibe to it but when it’s a full house at brunch it’s very difficult to hear each other talk at the table if you’re not already yelling at each other. To make it worse the table just to the left when you walk in is next to the speaker so we were also battling that. The AC was on (it was ~65 out at the time) and blows directly onto that table, making it uncomfortable if you didn’t bring a hoody or jacket. Again, waitress was aloof but luckily another table got her attention and asked to turn it off.
Overall - take your money to somewhere else in Peekskill. This place is overpriced for the quality of food and the management is absent at best. Plenty of other good restaurants in the area. This is my 4th time here over 2 years and it gets worse...
