I had the pleasure of taking my kids, mom, nieces, and nephew to see A Bad Case of Stripes, and we were all blown away by the incredible young talent right here in Peekskill! The performers brought so much energy, creativity, and passion to the stage, making the story come to life in such a fun and engaging way. It was inspiring to see local youth shine, and their hard work truly paid off in an amazing performance.

Ridvan is an inspiring leader, demonstrated by the growth of her programs and the number of awards her work and leadership has received recognition for, including WNYC Radio's Brian Lehrer Prize for Community Well Being and an Arts Westchester Runner Up Award.

My child has been participating in the theater program at NECS since October 2024, working on their recent production of "A Bad Case of the Stripes". This is the first time she has been in a theater program. She was nervous to try it out, but from the first day of class she loved it and it became an activity she looked forward to each week. During this time I have seen her confidence soar and friendships grow. Kate and Matt have been wonderful instructors and directors, always supportive and encouraging. It was incredible to see the culmination of everyone's hard work and talent in the performances of the play. NECS has great values that they truly infuse into everything they do. Its been such a positive experience, we will definitely be continuing with theater and other NECS programs...
