My son loves the tacos 🌮 they made there, the ones made with beef (de asado). He is 8 years old and ,o matter I mad a good guacamole, he likes the one from rubens with no spicy, just tomate, lettuce, and lime.

I was VERY disappointed with how I was treated yesterday. I am a loyal customer and they know me by name! I was sitting at the bar when no one else was there. People started to come in so I decided to move down since it was only me. As their party grew, I started getting elbowed, so I moved down again, totaling to 5 times. The 5th move, the guy behind the bar apologized and offered me a shot or drink since I could barely enjoy my meal because I kept having to move. WE agreed that would be the last time. At this point, I'm almost done with my meal and the manager comes up to me and asks me to move AGAIN! At this point I'm fuming and he says the seat is being saved for someone... I had been there for a good amount of time and no one ever said anything to me about that. I decided to move to a table because at this point I was going to be sitting behind the bar with where he wanted to sit and I didn't like that. I am a black woman, so to see the seat being saved was for a white woman that didn't even show up until 10 minutes later was disheartening. I tried to tell him how that was wrong and a bar is open seating. I had already moved 5 times to help THEM with customers. He was so rude to me and was yelling at me saying what else do you want me to do I already apologized?? ITS THE PRINICPLE. I wasn't mad at the lady, but for a well known customer and someone that was there FIRST and already moved FIVE times, that was HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have never been treated like that before and if they change how they treat people depending on the customers present, that is another problem within itself. I think the restaurant is going for an upscale, boujee cantina vibe. Not a fan, but that's irrelevant. This is a Mexican restaurant, I don't even think they used salt. The food was bland, not bad, just bland and close to tasteless. I had the (beef) chimichanga, as I said bland & tasteless. A small ice cream scoop of barely warm rice, another scoop of very loose (?), liquidy (?) refried beans also barely warm. You get salsa & chips, my husband said it was "sorta salsa, I got a piece of onion", I said it was taco sauce, very thin. But OK, maybe not all salsa is chunky. We ordered dessert! The menu said Cafe Con Leche. I have a question, were you just saying (American) coffee with milk or did you actually mean Cafe con Leche? Because it was regular coffee with milk, it was assuredly not Cafe con Leche. We ordered a slice of Tres Leches cake. Not my first piece of this. It should have been sitting in all its tasty juices, it wasn't. The cake should have been moist and soft, not firm and dry. It was ice cold, right out of the fridge and the center was still a tiny, bit frozen! Not nearly enough staff as the restaurant filled up.
