I just had the most aweful experience with this restaurant 😥 I have been a customer for several years and even carried there name to others around me. Today when I ordered a $22 pizza I received it warm, close to cold, the beef tasted funny (bad), normally this doesn't happen so I thought maybe it was just a lazy driver 🤷🏾♂️ so I called and told this lady that answered, I'm a frequent customer that just got served a cold pizza. Everything was fine and she re-orded the pizza. 5 min later she called me back asking if I've ate the pizza, I told her my fiancé and I had two slices, she said it was fine and we hung up. I totally forgot that the extra beef that I took off was an extra $1.75! I paid with card so I called back to see if they could give me a 2 liter soda pop which was $2.75 instead of putting it back on my card. When I spoke to the lady about it she said that her manager was already pissed he have to lose money in making you another pizza so I don't think he'll do that. I replied saying, honestly I love the place but that's not my problem, I shouldn't of had to eat a cold pizza, then I asked to speak with her manager, he answered the phone yelling at me saying he's not giving me a soda pop because it costed more making the pizza, I said the same thing as before, he replied saying do you want the pizza or not? because I don't have to make it! I replied saying yes I do, I will never order from you again in rage, and hurt 😭. I hate Emillions pizza! Now I don't trust what they may do with the one I'm receiving! I'm also mad I didn't be an a hole and get my m f'in money back! He made me wanna throw that pizza right back in his f'in face! Being satisfied enough to let him keep that wak O $22! 😡 but I stayed...
Read moreI first heard about Emiliano's in Hudson Valley magazine, where it was highlighted as one of the best pizzerias in the Hudson Valley not once, but a few times. After seeing its location when coming out of a disappointing meal at Milanese a few storefronts down, I was further intrigued. Poughkeepsie had a big Italian population at one time, and there are quite a few holdovers like this from the old days. Thus, I came up here to try a few places including Emiliano's. Inside, it looked like a typical pizzeria with city workers eating their lunch. Contrary to popular belief they do have napkins, but they are located at the back side of the shop away from the counter, which is strange and inconvenient. The slice was reasonably priced, and I was looking forward to it. It was just alright. The crust had little rise to it, but what was weird was that it had very significant tip sag yet had a crispness when bit into. The effect of it was like a Staten Island, cracker thin slice that was limp. Despite this, the cheese was high quality and the somewhat-muted sauce worked well off of it. For the Hudson Valley, this is definitely good pizza. Compared to the greater NY metro area, it doesn't stand out. However after tasting, I don't think the goal here was to be world beating to begin with. Hudson Valley magazine is to blame here for creating hype that they aren't even seeking to live up to. I have my own favorite pizzeria in this area, but I wouldn't mind visiting Emiliano's...
Read moreGreat pizza! OMFrog how I've missed great tasting pizza!!! Where I currently live, 2&1/2 hrs northeast in the southern Adirondacks for the last 3 yrs, there is NO good pizza place. I'm also VERY picky when it comes to pizza - so many places don't use quality ingredients or know how to make a good sauce and/or dough. I'm back downstate monthly for appointments and this day my friend & I were looking for a quick bite to eat before she dropped me off at the train back home. After a quick Google Maps search, I found Emiliano's, 1 of a few close pizzerias to where we were driving & it had good reviews, so we took a chance - boy were we happy we did! The slices are bigger than other places, the crust was crisp on the outside & soft on the inside, and the garlic bread was crispy on the outside & oh so soft & fluffy on the inside! Service was great - quick & they even brought it to our table. It was so good, my friend that I was with had pool in Poughkeepsie that night & she went back there with another friend who is VERY picky at where he eats, doesn't like trying new places and he loved it as well!
If you're looking for a great slice or pie, stop in here, you will not be disappointed!
Neither of us may live in the area, but we're in and drive through the area often, they are more than I, but you have 3 new loyal customers that will be back as...
