Happy Earth Tea — Restaurant in City of Rochester

This is probably my favourite spot in Rochester. I started coming here about a month since it opened and have since frequent it almost weekly.

Tea I won't pretend that I know more than the layman about tea but I will say there's a noticeable difference between what you get here and a store-bought teabag.

Staff The hospitality of the people who work here are an integral part of what makes this place worth going to. It's made it a place I feel comfortable going with by myself or with friends. They are happy to answer questions and are worth getting to know, should you visit often.

Uniqueness There is no other place I've been to that is similar to this one. It is simply a bar (without alcohol), relaxing music, and good conversation/relaxation.

Friendly One of the most unique traits at Leaf Tea Bar is how welcome you feel being here. I have probably met more people here outside of a club or activity than anywhere else. The regulars here are people you would want to meet and become acquainted with.

Products As someone who generally hates to buy store merchandise, I'll make an exception here. The products are actually useful and unique enough to warrant purchase. I've received nothing but positive comments and curiosity from the unique tea "gadgets" that were sold here...

Niraj will help you find just what you need. If you are new to tea, I suggest you visit Leaf Tea Bar or take a tea class with Niraj. For online shoppers, just ask him for some advice. We buy a significant amount of tea from him for the home and also visit Leaf Tea Bar once every other week to chat with Niraj and enjoy the beautiful bar. I try to sample every new tea he gets in seasonally, and I always have a steady supply of his green and herbal teas at home. With the cold and flu season upon us, I highly recommend keeping the Holy Ginger around; it has amazing natural healing properties. With a little honey, a pot of that helped lower a fever I had from a recent bad bout of the flu. I love these teas so much my boyfriend threw a surprise birthday party for me at Leaf Tea Bar; it was amazing! I also really appreciate that Happy Earth Tea is so socially responsible; they even donate a portion of their proceeds to good causes locally and internationally. You really can't get any better than...

A charming shop that sells in excess of 60 teas from across the globe. A huge range is available for all tastes. From black, white, oolong, loose leaf, herbal, Himalayan, green to my favourite chai tea.

This is one of the few places that sell the first Flush Darjeeling Teas. What a treat.

We ordered the Raspberry Spice and Assam Afternoon Tea. Both were packed with flavour and absolutely delicious.
