Learn morePlaced an order at 430PM (at the latest) for pick up at 720PM. Got a notification at 700PM that it wouldn't be ready until 750PM or 800PM. I'll be driving home from work. I have to work again in less than 11.5 hours, I’m not waiting 30 minutes and I'm not going to go back out to pick it up. I called to ask if they could honor their original time and got attitude and excuses. So I asked them to cancel my order and they said they would but it was unclear if they got my name for the order. The second person I spoke to was apologetic but unable to rectify the situation. He couldn’t find the order but assured me it was canceled. First and last time I will be ordering there.
UPDATE: So now I get a notification that the food is made. I call and ask is the food made or is it refunded? No one can find the order but they tell me they can’t do anything about it and to contact the ordering service (Storefront by DoorDash). I explain that the service will not refund it if it’s been makes made and, if by some chance they call to verify, someone will have to answer the phone which hasn’t been happening. And they hang up on me. So I drive over there and they direct me to the manager who says it wasn’t made and he can make it now or refund it. This would have been an awesome answer at 700PM. He was very nice about it. And, yes, 40 minutes into this TOTAL SHITSHOW, I am irritated. I have no idea how so much confusion and chaos can occur in a space of like maybe 300 square feet. I’m like, that’s awesome, can you give me the past 40 minutes of my life back?
And now I am going to Sushi585 for my food that was probably made in the amount of time it took me to walk to my car at work. ...
Read moreThe food was very good, we ordered a tuna, a poke bowl and a macho mango, all the dishes were considerable portions, however, the service is AWFUL: the beer menu has the Sapporo at $5, we asked for 2, when asking for the bill, they were charging us $20, when we asked to the server (Nicole) she recognized the mistake and said that it was $10 for two beers, 5 minutes passed she came to take my card, when I mentioned if she had to change the bill first she said no because the bull was correct, supposedly the beer It was $10 each and not $5 for being a bigger size can but the menu didn't mention that and neither did the waitress! when I respectfully told her about this, she said that she couldn't do anything, even the "manager" told us that she couldn't do anything with our bill and that it was the waitress's mistake for not telling us beforehand about the different sizes and prices (which they didn't they are on the menu), they did nothing to correct their mistake, besides, they only had 4 tables with ours, it's horrible! They were not busy! How can the menu mislead the customer?! ...
Read moreI wanted my first experience here to be great, but it was not. I’m not a skilled sushi maker, but I would have been better off attempting to prepare sushi at home. Bless the chef as he was trying so hard to keep up with orders, but it was just not his evening. The portion and size were so small and the ingredients were not fresh. I felt “icky” after eating. There was no flavor. The station where the sushi was prepared looked a bit unkept.
Anyway, that aside, I was most turned off by the bartender. She was a stocky blonde haired woman who spoke negatively about customers and wasn’t the least bit discreet about her unprofessionalism. She also kept staring and, at times, would awkwardly whisper to the waitress. It made us all uncomfortable. At one point, I wanted to leave. Not a welcoming bunch. No excuse for the bartender’s behavior.
I’ll never go back. Gotta sushi craving? Go...
