A couple of years ago I read an article that showcased Lizzie and Ronnie in their La Petite Poutine foodtruck venture. I believe it was Ronnie that stated they would work so hard for such long hours that the emotional and physical drain was manifested in alternating bouts of laughing and crying. That intensity of commitment and work ethic shines through in their brick and mortar venture as well! This place checks all the boxes! The interior decorating and dining options are incredibly thoughtful and creative. I'm always impressed by attention to detail, as exemplified by the fresh cut herbs and wildflowers that served as centerpieces at each table. They make and effort to locally source ingredients as much as possible. As a boomer it brings to mind Wavy Gravy's observation at Woodstock, "We're all feeding each other man!" When we return for subsequent visits I'm looking forward to ordering the Bacon Cheeseburger Poutine and Hart's breakfast sandwich. The concept of a poutine restaurant is a shining example of taking a leap of faith with the the adage, "If you build it,...

Years ago, if someone asked me what my favorite restaurant was, Iād say it was an Avocado-colored truck rolling around. So since Iād like a birthday cake made of this establishmentās poutine, itās fair to say I was expecting something excellent. But I will say, Iāve been burned by restaurants getting too big for their britches in the past. Sometimes when places get too big, the quality can suffer.
But not here. The fries were as perfect as always. The gravy, the curds - oh dear! Lovely! I had a flight which included the traditional, the pulled pork and the curry lentil. This was great, because from the food truck, you sort of have to pick a favorite. The lentils were so good. They were an aromatic and acid/herb balanced surprise, and I will definitely get them again. The lemon bar was a treat and reminded me of some of the gooey lemon bars that St. Louis bakeries have.
Iāll go back as much as I can. Iāll have to branch out to try their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely AMAZING place!!! Not only is the decor super cute, the people working there are very inviting and friendly. The food was so good (Iāve gone to Canada recently and Petit Poutineās food was far better than several of the places I ordered poutine from, hats off to them!!). We did the poutine float and tried the lentil curry, the hamburger, and the pulled pork, and each one of them so was delicious. The lentil curry had an authentic curry taste and was very savory. The hamburger with the lettuce provided an extra crunch that was very pleasant. The pulled pork was so darn good that I would order a tub of it just for myself. The Brussel sprouts have ruined Brussel sprouts for me as I can never turn them into something so delicious and flavorful. And if you have a chance, their drinks are delicious. I tried the lavender one they had and it was very smooth but light. My fiancĆ© ordered the ginger and if you like the taste of REAL ginger, then youāll love it! Thank you guys so much for the...
