The Great Escape Room in Rochester, NY, exceeded all our expectations for a fantastic team-building experience! From the very start, Tony and Tommy were incredibly helpful and accommodating as we coordinated the event for our work colleagues. They went above and beyond to make the planning process seamless and stress-free.
The escape room itself was the perfect blend of fun and challenging. It pushed us to think critically, communicate effectively, and work together as a team in ways we hadn’t before. The puzzles were clever and engaging, keeping us on our toes the entire time. We all left feeling accomplished and energized, with plenty of laughs and stories to share afterward.
If you're looking for an unforgettable team-building activity or just a unique way to spend time with friends or coworkers, I highly recommend The Great Escape Room in Rochester. Tony and Tommy made the experience even better with their excellent customer service and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to come back and try...
Read moreMy husband and I did the Rob The Mob room for our 13th anniversary and it was a fantastic experience! So much fun!
The staff were super friendly (big shout out to Amber, Laura and Tobi), the waiting room / lobby was full of fun games and puzzles to play while we waited for our room (only about 5 min wait), and the room itself was just the right amount of 'puzzling' to be both fun and a nice challenge. The atmosphere overall was relaxed and inviting, it was a super exciting and (for us) romantic experience. We had the room to ourselves, which was also a nice surprise -- we thought for sure they'd put us with another group but it turns out you book the room as your own group so it was very relaxing not to have to worry about mingling with strangers. We came out feeling accomplished and wanting to do it again (we literally bought another round of tickets as we left). Will definitely be back for...
Read moreGood: The people operating the place were great. The rooms were nicely decorated, nice ambiance. Puzzles were clever.
Bad: Several of the puzzles and challenges didn't work--significant mechanical issues I've never seen at an escape room before. At least 3 of the electronic locks and latches didn't work when the correct answers were input. One had a note that it didn't work but it was signed with a character so we felt it was misdirection. The door to the third room didn't open, the trash chute didn't open, the radio didn't work, the hose didn't line up right.
The person giving hints in Chicago didn't seem to know about the mechanical failures, and encouraged us to do what we were already doing. For the cost, I expected better.
Unrelated: We were not good at the puzzles, and required a lot of hints. That's on us. It felt harder than beginner or intermediate, but could just be we're...
