I would highly recommend this restaurant to host a private event. And if you’re not in the market for a private event, go eat there anyways! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff has always been friendly during any interaction. They’re always professional and always smiling, which I think is hard to find in restaurants these days. We appreciate when good food is mixed with good service. The restaurant isn’t pretentious, yet welcoming, while still being upscale. If you’re looking to host a private event, I encourage you to check them out. The setting is charming, elegant yet rustic, and perfect for a more intimate affair. The minimum cost is quite reasonable, too. Recently, my husband I hosted our wedding reception and dinner here, and we are so glad we did. When we began looking for venues, nothing really felt right. We wanted an intimate setting, but we didn’t want it to feel too formal. We checked out several places, including other nearby restaurants, and we felt like people looked at our wedding reception as a chore. Nobody made us feel as welcome as the owner of Edibles, Jason, did. From my first phone call to him and after sitting down, my husband and I felt like he cared and was happy to make our day special. He honored all requests and helped us plan the menu. They were happy to tweak the menu as we needed as well. There were several options for drink packages, many appetizers to choose from, as well as entrees. We could also offer signature cocktails, which was fun. Jason was willing to get any music we wanted, although I chose to do my own playlist, but he did download and play the song for our first dance. Basically, if you have a request, he will work with you. Set up was convenient because they allowed my family in early, and the take down was simple too, as they didn’t want me to help so I could enjoy my day! We didn’t have to worry about anything, and we were...
Read moreI am leaving this review because I am so upset and disgusted by how I was treated by the owner of this establishment someone like this should not be in business. I was treated so horrible when trying to share my experience, so rude and unkind. I will not be giving my hard earned money to this restaurant ever again again. The food is good. The drinks are good, but something happened to my food which I will not say, they were very busy, which is understandable, the server didn’t come back to check on us so I could get something else. These things happen you get busy I understand that, but it’s how I was treated by the owner the next day when I called to share my experience, not the server she was nice. I felt bad, she must’ve been very busy. It’s how I was treated by the owner that I feel I need to write this review and why, I will never be back. You can’t treat people like that, Just defensive and just unkind. If it were my business, I’d want the person to share what happened so that you can try to improve, I would not have made the person feel so small for having the “audacity” to call. He said he apologized three times but that’s a complete lie. He did not say sorry until 15 minutes in, And kept repeating himself about what I expected from them, and I was just so off guard by the tone and how utterly unkind he was. Sir, you are in the...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner at Edibles on a Wednesday evening, prior to attending a concert at the Auditorium Theater. We were VERY disappointed. To be honest, the meal started out great. The bread was fresh, warm and crusty. My candied walnut, beet and chevre salad was to die for. My husband loved his iceberg wedge. Everything went downhill from there. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which I expected to be homemade. They were not. Instead they were the same frozen packaged things I could have bought at the grocery store. Not terrible, but definitely not delicious and not what I expected for the price. The 4 shrimps that the ravioli came with were overcooked and tough. My husband ordered the 16 ounce black Angus strip steak, medium rare. It arrived medium well, with at least 3 ounces of fat, completely unseasoned and flavorless, looking and tasting like it had been fried in a pan instead of grilled. This was not our first visit to Edibles, but it will be our last. We used to love the place. But add to this the fact that our last couple visits to Edibles were also less than satisfactory and I have to say goodbye. We won't be back and I certainly don't recommend anyone else go...
