This was the worst dining experience of my entire life. We came in on a boat. When we called to put our name in, we were told that we needed to come up from the boat to put our name on the list in person and that it was about a 20 minute wait. One of our party went to check in and he said we could be seated immediately. Once we all arrived at hhff we table, the server took forever to get to us continuously telling us she would be right back. We ordered drinks and wanted to order food but she said she had to get our drinks first. It was one issue after another. It took an hour and a half to get our food. The order was wrong. We asked for water and the server told us she was too busy that we had to get it ourselves from a dispenser on the patio. We tried to get a second round of drinks. Only half the order came. After 30 minutes and getting our own water we asked her to cancel the rest of th ed drinks. She huffed and rolled her eyes and said “Really?”. We asked for our check. She did not give us an itemized bill….. it was just a small slip for $180+. She was pissed when we asked her for an itemized bill. We had 2 orders of clams, chicken tacos, 2 chicken sandwiches, a burger, and 5 drinks ( one of which was nonalcoholic). This was literally the worst dining experience in my entire life. I’m not a complainer… I was a restaurant manager for many years and understand the struggle of general operations. I truly believe I am more understanding than most. The attitudes of the staff, less than quality food, and exorbitant bill was not a memory that will be forgotten anytime...
Read moreOur server was not knowledgable. I ordered a combo. I was told not available. I got the shrimp, and onion rings. Neither very good, very greasy. We had a party of 6, my fiends meals/drinks wrong. A guy came up claiming to be manager, very rude. Again bring wrong drinks. The lady manager came up just before we left. She gave clarification, comped one of my friends meals, and said a mistake was made on my meal, but no comp. I understand this was only 3rd week serving, but ya got some work to do. Willing to try one more time, hoping for better...
Read moreIf you want ambiance, look no farther than Whiskey's Upper Deck at the Port of Rochester. I can't say enough about the view. As for the food...it's your average bar food. I had chicken finger with fries and my husband had a salad. Not the worst or the best. The service was okay but I don't think that was our server's fault. They seemed understaffed like most places. She was pleasant enough but we had a longer wait than average for the food. I hope the owners work out the kinks because they have a gem...
