Paulie's Pizza of Schenectady — Restaurant in City of Schenectady

First & foremost, I absolutely LOVE Paulie's Pizza. However, the last couple times I've ordered the service has been less than standard. Two orders ago they forgot to put my requested blue cheese with my delivery order. I called to let them know & they still did not bring me any. Today, I called & ordered a simple pepperoni pizza for pick up. They quoted me 25 minutes. When I arrived they said it would be a few more minutes. No problem. However, I was seemingly forgotten about as several other customers walked in the store & were taken care of. After waiting about 20-25 minutes, I went back up to the counter to let them know the situation. When I told them my order again & that I'd been waiting for 20-25 minutes, an employee proceeded to tell me he'd been at work for however many hours. I can appreciate the fact that they were busy, however, I felt I was more than patient. Turned out that my pizza was ready to go & I was justified asking for an update on my order. Very upset with my past couple experiences & the fact that no one seemed to want to rectify the problem. I've been a loyal customer for the past 4 years I've lived here & have recommended Paulie's to my family & friends. Unfortunately, if service does not improve, I will have no choice but to take my business elsewhere. I hope that is not the case because their...

As a follow up to Meghan W.'s review, we ordered our replacement food tonight after the owner was generous enough to reach out to us to correct our dissatisfaction with the original order. Let me just say I have a good sense of humor and love irony...our replacement food was inadvertently given away to another customer. The owner came over to me and was so apologetic offering a million different ways to solve this dilemma. Fortunately I had another errand to run in the area and told him not to worry and asked how long he needed to prepare a fresh batch of food. I left, went about my business and came back AHEAD of schedule and my food was ready to go. I got home, Meghan and I ate, and I couldn't get on here fast enough to not only post about how amazing the Owner"s customer service has been despite the mishaps, but also how amazing the food is. The pizza was absolutely top notch and the flavor of the cheesy breadsticks was beyond compare. We will gladly revisit this establishment for years to come. Please everyone, be patient, be grateful, to err is to human, if this establishment makes a mistake, politely let them know, and I promise you they will go above and beyond to make ot correct. Worst customer service I have ever received at a dining establishment. I called and ordered a 12 cut pizza, because their sizes are 6 cut, 8 cut and 12 cut so I assumed it was like small, medium and large and I wanted a large pizza. When it got delivered it was a square thick crust pizza that looked nothing like the round thin crust pizzas on their website. I called and told them I was not expecting a square pizza and they should put it on their website if a pizza is square. I said the driver just dropped it off if you want to have him come back and get it that is fine I am not going to eat it and I asked for a refund. The person I was talking to put Paulie himself on the phone and who told me no he would not give me a refund and he sarcastically said he is sorry that I am uninformed. "How could I be informed when the website doesn't say it is square?", "Well everyone knows that if there is no inches listed next to the pizza, it is square." was his response. I don't know if their round pizzas are any good because I just moved to the area and this was the first time I ever ordered there and it was the last.
