We're huge fans of hot pot, so we were pleasantly surprised when we visited Syracuse University to find Hot Pot Lu Lu so close to campus and our hotel. Unfortunately the location was about where excitement ends. Just felt like our presence was a major inconvenience the entire time.
Ordering is done by circling options on the menu, though that wasn't relayed to us, you just kind of have to figure it out. The server didn't take our whole table's order and walked off while one of the people in our party were still trying to place their order.
Spices, sauces and other condiments were on a separate cart for the whole restaurant to share, which again wasn't relayed to us but we eventually figured out on our own. When our food eventually arrived we were missing the noodles for one person and the server didn't come by to check on us for some time to let them know the noodles were missing.
Overall, Hot Pot Lu Lu had a lot of potential that was wasted due to lack of service. I couldn't imagine going here if you weren't already familiar with the hot pot process and even those who are, may find their first visit...

However, I got angry when a new table was sat and she began speaking to them in English. She proceeded to only direct herself to my coworker to translate from her language to English "because she didn't speak English".
