Thai-castrophe, thai-terrible! In all seriousness and all kidding aside! This was the worst Thai we’ve experienced and I’ve had some subpar cuisine in the past. Given that we eat Thai in our household at least 1/3 of the month on avg. we have had our fair share of varieties in Syracuse and plenty outside Syracuse. However, to cut to the chase we ordered two of the most popular Thai dishes one can order; the green chicken curry and red chicken curry (no special annoying instructions) just as is. When we received it the size was quite small or average in comparison to other places. For me it’s all about the quality and taste though. We were hungry! Immediately upon opening it and looking at we knew something was different or peculiar. The consistency was visibly thick or stew like, and creamy if I had to describe it in words. We went ahead with high hopes. All the aromas were normal. But for the most important part - the taste! Wow, I must say this was the first time we didn’t even finish 1/4 of our dishes. In the beginning I kept trying to encourage my mate whom I ordered these with after the initial look of the curry dishes that it was gonna be alright. Sadly It wasn’t. It was terrible. I can’t even tell you how far off the mark this was from any traditional Thai curry dish (both his and mine). We both normally DO NOT like giving bad reviews but this was not subpar it was horrible. If I had to sum it up in short it’s “Thai curry in a can” ...and we both agreed on that. We’ve had many to compare it with. I’m not one of those picky eaters out there. I eat basically anything and complaints are very minimal. With this it really sucked because I love Asian cuisine and Thai curry is at the top of my list of favorites. However, I also have to say it’s difficult and hard to write this while we are all in middle of economic hardships; especially restaurants. I do have to give an honest and genuine review and I’m an honest person. I’m sure the owners and staff are nice people however I will not be ordering from them again unfortunately since there are far greater choices that are more authentic to select in this area. I hope they fix the over thickiness of their curry dishes and maybe the recipe overall. Sorry for such a long winded review. Again remember this was a fail, a Thai Catastrophe, 1 star (0 if I could) on this mainly due to bad taste, weird consistency and for first time ever, we threw out the...

I’m shocked that there are reviews saying best Thai food in CNY. This was hands down the worst curry I’ve possibly ever head. We ordered one red and one green and both were actually unappetizing. Imagine a gas station that decided to offer “Thai curry” in a soup warmer next to their hot dogs with a little placard that reads “Taste or Asia” and it has been sitting there all day and got really thick and slimy and you were craving a great Thai restaurant but you haven’t eaten all day and are at a gas station on a road trip in the middle of Alabama in a tiny town whose residents have never heard of Thailand and probably thinks all of Asia is just called “China”. You would have a few bites and feel ill and not hungry anymore. I feel this is the only way to describe this. We ended up making grilled cheese and calling it a night. Thankfully we didn’t pay full price for the food but I can’t even give an extra star for that because that was a DoorDash promotion.
So just be warned. Thai Thai Syracuse or Bangkok Thai in Liverpool or even Appethaizing is much...
Read moreI would recommend this place for those who love Asian food as I do, particularly who is away from home and missing home made south east Asian style cooking like me!
I have been there several time as I am a SU student, mostly for lunch. I tried several dishes. What I like is Vietnamese Pho with Chicken. Pho with beef is better I was told but unfortunately I don't eat beef. Anyway, it is a good broth and ample chicken brisket and noodles. The sprouts and basil are fresh. The very large bowl made for a filling portion.
I also like Thai Dumpling. The taste is different with the Chinese ones which I used to eat at restaurants.
If you like Thai style stir-fried rice noodle, I would also recommend to try Pad See-ew and Pad Kee-mow too.
The menu there is extensive, so you should be able to find plenty of good options if you don't feel for what I suggested above. And the prices are also quite reasonable.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone who either likes Thai & Vietnamese food or would like to try it. The dining atmosphere is pleasant, and more importantly the...
