Syracuse stage is a treasure for our city. I've been a season ticket holder every year since their first-half season in 1973 - 74. The theater is intimate and comfortable, and the prices are very reasonable. Most importantly, the quality of the productions is excellent. Purchase season tickets and you'll have a thoroughly enjoyable evening out every six weeks or so from September through May. Also, this year with the purchase of season tickets you get a 10% discount at the bar where you can order drinks in advance for intermission. UPDATE-1: It's the 50th-year anniversary of Syracuse Stage and still going strong. UPDATE-2: Went to see an extra show not included in the normal season of six plays. The Second City comedy group presented a very funny show. I can see why SNL recruits so many members of their cast from this group. The experience made me think that Syracuse needs more comedy performances, either famous stand-up comedians, or humorous plays.

I often attend theatre performances at Syracuse Stage. The shows are top quality, reasonably priced, and the small theatre allows for good seats no matter where you sit. There is parking for $9 next door to Phoebe's restaurant if you have a show ticket. Card only, no cash! It is well lit and a quick walk. In the building, bathrooms are clean, and there is a coffee bar and a bar with wine, beer and cocktails. You may even order a drink for intermission, and it will be ready for you. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

I recently attended a production out ‘Primary Trust’ and, like every other show I’ve attended there, was blown away. Superb acting, sets, attentive staff, well organized, great snacks. Another recent favorite was their production of ‘Our Town’. Our entire group was in tears at the end and a year later my teenager gushed about how it was the best stage show she had ever seen and wanted to see it again.

I just returned home after being fortunate enough to take 7 of my students to see Beauty and the Beast! The show was AMAZING and has a fun filled cast. My students were very excited to take a picture with The Beast and Mrs. Potts and I really appreciate that they both took the time to speak with them. I, also, want to express my gratitude to a woman who helped my student and I. My student, during the show, got a bloody nose and we had to sneak out. Tracy came to help us and she offered not only suggestions, tissues, water and support but she also cleaned my student's shirt! She encouraged us to go back in, when his nose stopped bleeding so we could enjoy the rest of the show, while she cleaned his shirt! Your actions were more powerful than you will ever know! You made an impact on my student and he was talking about how kind you were to him when we drove him home. Thank you for lending a helping hand and for role modeling the Christmas spirit to us both! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday- thank you for making a...

Syracuse Stage is probably is the best kept secret of Central NY. The theater is intimate. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff is wonderful. They are helpful, respectful, and very enthusiastic about the shows AND THEIR JOBS. I have been attending the Stage since 1990, most seasons buying season tickets. I don't think there has been one show that I can say something bad about. I can name some that were outstanding!! But that would take up too much time and space.

If you have not taken advantage of this first class professional theater, you are being foolish. Take advantage of what is enlightening, entertaining, and...
