Actually I was going to a restaurant nearby and this one caught my attention and next thing I know I am in it. We got there around 1pm ish and it is a busy time and the woman taking orders and wrapping food up looks overwhelmed. They need to work on that and she also needs more understanding of the language. I ordered a shawarma sandwich and I got Shawarma wrap but I'm not complaining because it was delish. We also ordered chicken Shish kebabs over rice, Mixed fruit cocktail, half rotisserie chicken with rice, Medi-Burger with fries, a beef samusa and totalled about $66. The food is good and the prices are fair. Fruit cocktail is amazing. Their meat is marinated to perfection. It is a Halal restaurant and we will be visiting there again.

I ordered Kofta but asked them to replace the rice with salad and give me the Kofta on a separate box. Kofta usually comes with vegetables, broth and the meat itself and costs about 11 dollars. There was none of that and just 4 meat pieces in the box and they charged me extra for the salad which was about 6 dollars. When I told the owner that I thought the salad would be a substitute for the rice he said “It doesn’t matter”. Overall I paid 17 dollars for what you see in the picture. I used to love this restaurant and their workers, and would eat from there often but after this they lost a customer.

It was my first time ordering here but like any other Mediterranean place I thought this was gonna be good too or at least the same. I ordered lentil soup...what I got was a yellow watery something that smell and test like vomit. Very disappointed...this was for my wife who just had a tooth extraction and she can't eat anything but soup not only the soup was bad but it made her more sick .I also got the chicken shworma wrap the portion is so little. I'm not returning for sure 😕.

Super sad to write this review. This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Syracuse. The only thing I've actually ever gotten here is the Shish Tawook bowl, but it's just amazing. Today when I ordered it, the gentleman behind the counter misunderstood and gave me the platter. When I asked why there were no french fries, he called the gentleman from the kitchen in who had seen me come in and recognized me and remembered my order as the platter, and so that's what he did. In his defense, he did ask me, "Shish Tawook?" and I did say yes. It seemed simple enough to fix by adding the fries and charging me for the bowl, but the gentlemen charged me for the platter and then an additional five dollars for the fries. So instead of $16.50, it was $19.50. When I pointed out the error, he called the gentleman from the kitchen in, and then both of them argued that I had not said "bowl," (I had) and that me saying "yes" when the gentleman asked me the question meant that this is what I ordered. We're only talking about three dollars, and yes, I could just let that go, but it was more the principle of it. You would think they would just say, "so sorry, no worries, let us fix that." Especially for a regular customer who's never done anything but sing their praises. My rating is still pretty high, because the food is so good, and the service has always been so friendly, and I don't understand what happened today. Super...

I ordered grape leaves with the expectation that they’d at least be hot and with beef and rice. But they were cold, firm and only filled with rice and maybe herbs and with a bit of oil and an odd smell, just like dolmades would be. Felt like it was false advertising, if I knew they were like that I wouldn’t have ordered them. I use to prepare small tubs of dolmades that came in a can at a restaurant I worked at, as well as heating up house made grape leaves, they are similar, but certainly different. From my experience dolmades are cold, firm, smelly, and oily to the touch. Grape leafs are much softer, juicy, and served hot after being blanched in tomato juices, and smell quite nice (In my Opinion).

The hummus with pita was...
