First time trying Somali food, and it was fantastic! Our server was super nice and made great recommendations. Price is extremely reasonable. They have authentic dishes like goat liver, would 100% try it, but since that wasn't our vibe for lunch, she put together custom plates for us. We had chicken and beef suqaar, chapati, sambusa, and Somali tea. Plus, they gave us bananas to eat with our meal. The spicy sauce is 3/5 spicy level imo, and sooo good. There's a bathroom downstairs to wash your hands, which is great if you want to experience eating with your hands, but it's not required. We went during Sunday lunch so there's plenty of free street parking. Highly recommend and will definitely go back! Only downside is I don't live close enough to visit often.

This was the best hospitality we have ever had. The cook and chashier was super sweet to our kids making sure they had food they liked. The food was delicious and big portions. We had goat and chicken with unique rice it was so aromatic, you could smell jasmine as it cooked:). It was a differnt flavor palate, but in a great way, not so foreign that the average person couldn't enjoy it. and somosas were yummy with light curry. The hot green sauce were unique and so good on the rice. And my son and i loved the mango drink also. My kids liked the food also and they are under 5, but green sauce is to spicey for kids, otherwise not spicey food just yummy.

This place is on my block and I’m glad it is! I had a night I was home alone so I went there. The owner was very nice in helping me understand my choices. The chicken sequaar was very good and the solmolian rice was delicious. I got some homemade hot sauce which was awesome but hot! Mango juice was outstanding and a must when you come here. The chicken somosa was excellent!

Short version: go there. Doesn’t matter who you are, this place is worth every penny.

I went there with my partners. One who’s family is from a tribe in rough territory of Nigeria. This goat- it made them feel like they were home.the spice blends were spot on and the meat fell off the bone. I got the Chapati. The tea, the chicken, it was all so good. Despite the fact I’ve only been recently welcomed to the family of the tribe- this food gives a deep sense of home, warmth, and comfort. The fish had a beautiful char which my partner loved. The rice is excellent. The man working behind the counter is one of the kindest most passionate people I’ve met in a while. Please go out and support their business. I know I will be whenever I am...
