Burger King — Restaurant in City of Tonawanda

Having worked and ordered here, I cannot recommend enough that you go to another location. While the crew members are generally nice, the managers seem to be on some sort of power trip. I remember having been scolded for completing a task wrong (one that I had never done before) during the CanalFest rush. We were extremely understaffed that day, and I was already stressed, and working past my clock-out time. As I was still a minor at the time, this is a workplace violation...There were several other kitchen violations that I can recall in the months that I worked there, one of which left me with burn scars on my arm. Many reviews state that food was stale or old. Correct. We are repeatedly told to ignore the food warnings that state certain foods must be tossed after a certain time, in order to not go over our food quotas. This leads to increasingly stale food, that we continued to package up and hand out. I've seen raw meat handled with bare hands, dropped on the floor, incorrect utensils used for handling raw food, and quite a bit of cross contamination. If you are looking for a halal or kosher friendly place, do not trust this location. They will lie to your face by saying they'll clean and decontaminate work stations, and then proceed as normal. Not to mention, whilst working there, I discovered that I had a mild allergy to the dish soap that was used, which caused me to break out in a rash, and occasionally hives. Was I allowed to not do dishes? No, I was given elbow length gloves (which did not do much to keep soap off my hands and arms), and told...

Food was good when I FINALLY got some. I ordered an Impossible Whopper meal. It took approximately 10 minutes for me to receive my meal while the drive thru orders and 2 counter orders AFTER mine were filled. I estimate the time as I did not watch the clock. The gentleman who’d been in line ahead of me, received his meal, had eaten it and left about 3 minutes before I even received my meal. In this day and age that’s unheard of at a “fast” food establishment. It baffles me a bit as to why it took so long. Even if they have the Impossible patties frozen, a 2-3 minute trip to the microwave should heat them enough to be served. On top of the wait, that expediter didn’t apologize for the wait, and when I mentioned that I was still waiting, she told me in a slightly surly tone that they had to make it. Unbelievable lack of customer service. No offer to comp anything, no apology, nothing. I used to frequent this location, but after this treatment, I’ll look elsewhere. Very...

Horrible staff. One small nice girl was taking my order and the huge manager Diane was just standing over he criticizing her after every word she said to me. It was really uncomfortable for me and the girl taking my order. Then, while i was waiting for my food, Diane was talking to another customer (they seemed to be friend) about how its not fair that her coworkers get paid so much and that they should be perfect. Since she is a manager, im guessing she makes even more than her coworkers. Very hypocritical of her. After that, i also heard her mumble some violent things while she was putting people’s orders in bags. Honestly, i should call their corporate headquarters about this.
