Craylee's — Restaurant in City of Utica

Went here one day after church to get some brunch. It was quite busy so there was a little bit of wait time, which was understandable. However, the problem started after we were seated and had ordered our drinks. The waitress was basically nonexistent after she brought the drinks to the table. We seen plenty of her as she rushed to wait on other customers around us, but she always seemed to forget our table. After 20 minutes, we were finally able to put our orders in but watched as people who were just coming in and being seated, were ordering their food and getting it before us. Mind you, our table consisted of 3 adults, 1 child, and 1 baby. Not a large party of people, not people who typically complain, and neither the baby nor the child were being loud or causing any problems. Nearly an hour we waited for our food before we had had enough. When the waitress came to ask if we wanted more drinks, we finally told her to pack our food to go and told her it was ridiculous we had to wait that long while other customers had come and gone. She did not apologize for the wait or inconvenience, she just went back into the kitchen and brought our food out, all boxed up, in about 5 minutes. Will not be...

All I can say is wow wow wow! Little late to the party but Craylees is not to be missed! When we started coming in the waitress saw that we had a small child with us and immediately got a high chair ready before we even got through the door. The staff is warm and friendly and they have done a outstanding decorating and creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The menu from a cost perspective is super approachable and filled with incredible food options. I opted for the meat lovers skillet and was blown away by the size of the portion. You definitely get your money’s worth. While breakfast and homestyle food is typically greasy and heavy everything we had was really well made, not greasy whatsoever and DELICIOUS! Also worth noting is that the coffee they serve is super smooth and pairs very well the delicious food. The owner was present and happy to talk with us and really cares about her craft. Craylees is a perfect example of someone following there vision and executing perfectly! This will become a staple restaurant for my family...

I love a good hometown restaurant where you're inclined to run into someone you know every time you visit. This was my first visit to Craylee's and I don't know anyone in Utica, but I was still treated as though I'm "one of them." Our server, who I believe is the owner, was friendly and conversational. I loved that I could stay on keto while eating at this place and told her that. She mentioned that her husband had also done keto and lost a lot of weight, so they understood the importance of having choices when you go out to eat. It was a snowy, crappy day in the midst of Covid, so the place wasn't as full as I expect it normally is. My husband and I enjoyed our visit, though, and will definitely be going back.
