In a world of mass-produced baked goods, Knead to Eat stands out as a beacon of artisanal excellence. Whether you’re looking for a quick treat or needing a custom dessert for a special occasion, this bakery is a must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Knead To Eat, a charming locally owned bakery which has quickly become my favorite when I visit Utica. Each time I have walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods that immediately set the tone for my exceptional experiences. And yes, when I am there, I always eat dessert before my meal. They look (and taste) too delicious to wait until after. The selection of pastries, desserts, breakfast and lunch options are nothing short of impressive. Each item is crafted with care and attention to detail, showcasing the bakery's commitment to quality ingredients and traditional baking methods. I sampled several items; each one was a delightful testament to the skill and passion of the bakers. What truly sets Knead to Eat apart is the owner, Doug. Of the 10 plus times I have been there, Doug has been very present as well. It has become uncommon to see restaurant owners have such front end involvement. His dedication to the restaurant and his craft is evident in every aspect of the bakery, from the warm customer service to the meticulous presentation of each plated item. Doug takes the time to engage with customers and ensures that everyone feels welcomed, valued and leaves full. I highly recommend supporting this local gem and indulging in the delicious offerings that the team at Knead to Eat creates with such passion. I can’t wait to return to Utica simply for this adorable gem of a restaurant. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options too

As a foodie, cook...I am ridiculously picky and perfectionist with ingredients, prep, presentation and most importantly taste. Doug's "Knead to Eat Bakery/Cafe" we graced for the 1st time, I had the Signature breakfast Banana Cinnamon French Toast with Bacon and Whipped Cream. First the french toast used is baked by them, WOW, He finishes it with a buttery brown sugar glaze that is out of this world, & rendered any additional syrup totally unnecessary, infact it may have ruined the perfection this dish is if you add it, the bacon was also perfectly cooked, thickness, my breakfast companion let me try her breakfast quesadilla with bacon, hash browns, eggs, cheese, dipped in salsa & sour cream that too was wonderful (she will review that with photo)...The visual inspection of his cheese cakes, macaroons, and other baked good looked fantastic but I didn't try them as we plan on frequenting his establishment many, many more times to come! I like the cleanliness and ambiance as well. It's a cafeteria style operation in that you order and pay at the counter at the same time, get your table number and they bring it to you when done. with all good food there will most of the time be lines, be patient, it's 1000% worth it, I took 1 star under service for the method yet wouldn't change it, it works, as the line did move! Frankly can't wait to return...FABULOUS! Excited to try the baking

I'm tired of having my phone calls ignored and texts gone unanswered plus many other things--- Payments made and Missed by doug and jay- payments were supposed to start April, 2023--

More MISSED payments than made!??!

Loaned the owners jason and doug the $15k that they needed to re-open their store and now they won't pay me back.

Out of friendship I gave them a non-interest loan to help them restart and besides nasty replies back and ignoring my calls for weeks on end I am now publicly making everyone aware... to get my money back.

Can upload texts and contract if necessary.

Update- I honestly cannot understand how can anyone continuously miss payments?! Esp to someone who you owe the re-opening of...
