Stathis Greek Restaurant & Gyro — Restaurant in City of Utica

Would not recommend trying to book the food truck. Called to book their truck for a charity event we are holding benefiting children with cancer. I was told the food truck was available that day and the owner would call me back. After multiple follow up calls over the span of 3 weeks and 0 response or call back from the owner, I called today and was told again by an employee that the owner was not there and they would take a message for him to call me back (yeah right). Once I explained my situation to this employee, she asked me when the event was, and when I told her the date I heard a man in the background yell "its not available that day" (presumably the owner who "wasn't there"). I just went to order a lamb gyro an I paid for extra an I wish I could take a picture cause I literally watched the kid make it an the cashier (she’s great) hands it to me an I said is that mine ? She said yes an I said ordered extra everything an she said it’s all extra … now mind you I watched the kid make it an it literally has 4 small pieces with one long strip … I’ve had gyros made with a lot more meat on them with out paying extra !!!! There was small amount of lettuce an 3 thin tomatoes an a couple onions ! That’s not my opinion of EXTRA EVERYTHING when I’m paying for it ! NOT freaking happy at all an what’s makes me more mad is I watched him make it an it was not extra of anything an I’m being told it is !!!!!!!!! This place is fantastic!. I live in a place that has limited Greek food but was in Utica for a meeting and was told they had some great Greek food places. I read through the menus (and reviews) for a bunch of places and decided to try Stathis and boy was I happy. I got just about everything on the menu to go and took it back home about 1.5 hours away. Got home and I was an instant hero with my family! The gyros and traditional dishes are great but the vegetarian dishes (eggplant!) were insane. The home made tzaziki and hummus are tremendous as is the meatloaf. The baklava is to die for. One of the best, most authentic Greek food places I have had the pleasure to try. I spent a week in Crete just stuffing my face and Stathis could definitely hold its...
