KFC — Restaurant in City of Watertown

The recent renovations are very nice, but do not extend to the kitchen area or bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and usually helpful, but are either under staffed and/or not very motivated to clean and/or stock supplies. The ladies room was very dirty. The toilet paper was sitting beside the empty dispenser that had graffiti written on it. The paper towel dispenser was also empty. The dining area had multiple dirty tables. The soda dispenser was filthy. I'm not sure when it was cleaned last. It also "spits" soda towards you, so be careful when filling your cup. Food is good and hot. Price is great. Portion sizes are good. I personally prefer when the gentleman who's name tag reads "Pookie" makes the mashed potato bowl. He makes it the best. Do yourself a favor and take the extra few minutes to go inside so you can make sure that you get everything you ordered. Please don't waste your time with the drive thru. They will forget something everytime! I.e. forks, straws, napkins, your drink, biscuits, cookie if it comes with your meal, Mac N Cheese, etc... On 3/3/2019 @ 1920 (7:20pm), I ordered two KFC Bowls and two drinks. I left the restaurant and jumped onto 81S to Syracuse. We opened our bowls and were very upset to find that there where 6 tiny pieces of popcorn chicken on each bowl (no larger than a nickel or dime). In addition, the bowls were half filled with potatoes, very little corn and watery gravy. I phone the Watertown, NY store and spoke to a woman who identified herself as the store manager. She refused to give her first name, said she couldn’t hear me on the phone and hung up. I immediately called back, explained the situation and she said the bowls were made correctly. I told her I planned on calling KFC’s corporate office on Monday. It was then that she offered to replace them if we came back to the store. I asked her if she was the same person I spoke to the previous week concerning a similar issue and she became even more angry. She said, “ you’re waisting my time.” I explained, “no, you’re waisting ours!” Do yourselves a favor and eat somewhere else until...

We have not eaten at Kentucky Fried Chicken in years. Today, after a doctor’s appointment, we decided we’d give it a try since it was right on our way home. We decided to get the eight piece bucket, so we could make two meals out of it. We went through the drive through at about 3:30. They weren’t busy...there was just one car behind us. The young lady was very friendly. That’s the only good thing about our experience.

I can’t say anything good about the meal. The chicken was tough, greasy and tasteless, as were the potatoes and gravy. But the worst part of the whole meal were the biscuits. They were stale, hard and inedible. I tried to cut them with a knife and they just crumbled. They were so hard, I banged them on the table and they didn’t lose shape. To say that we were disappointed, is an understatement. I remember when the food there was hot, tasty, fresh and delicious. They have definitely had a downhill slide.
