Avitabile Deli — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

My family and friends have been catering food from Avitabile for years, they do an amazing job with everything. Their hot food is great and they have a nice variety of salads. I especially enjoy their hero sandwiches, they are quite hearty and a great value.

I recently worked with the manager Joe to cater sandwiches for a party with roughly 100 people. He helped me come up with the perfect variety and amount given the number of people and so forth. The chicken cutlet with roasted red pepper and mozzarella was the most popular. They also offer this same sandwich with eggplant as one of their vegetarian options.

The service is always superior, they were kind enough to cut them into various sizes so I could fit everything easily in my car — and with very secure packaging.

Avitabile is one of those few remaining family-owned businesses that you can count on. The quality has been consistently excellent, everything tastes just as good as it did...

Very nice neighborhood deli. Staff is very friendly. Cash and credit is accepted. There is street parking but it is a busy area so parking is limited. Sandwiches are good, between $8-$10. Their hot food selection seems to be a good choice for anyone looking for lunch.

First and foremost let me say the food was delicious. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich,which is a usual I order from here, and some Italian roll stuffed with meats, as shown in the pics. However where I am disappointed was the price for the sandwich. I've previously posted pics of the bread size for the sandwich. This time they were on what is left of their bread supply and only the shortest loafs were left. But they still charge me the same prices for the larger sandwiches? You could of taken a dollar off or something to make it seem like a better deal. Sandwich $8.50; Italian roll 4.50 total...

Avitable Deli is an excellent neighborhood Italian Deli store! Located on McLean Ave in Yonkers NY, close to Bronx River Rd and at the northern end of Webster Ave, very close to the Bronx border. I go here to buy green olives, small mozzarella balls and the artichoke hearts, also broccoli rabe if they don't run out of it ...and they're all excellent! The staff are very friendly and they have plenty of people working behind the counter to get you help. I highly recommend them and I'll be back soon for more green olives! Olives are such a delicious and healthy snack and they make a great side dish to your meal! I enjoy the small mozzarella cheese balls in the mornings at my home with a nice freshly made black...
