Gino’s Pizza — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

We were customers for years and felt it was a good value. Then the prices began to rise and the quality went down. One day we were getting take out and gave them a coupon for $2 off a $16 pie. They had Bed Bath and Beyond coupon policy-accept coupons no matter the expiration date. It had expired by 2 days. They started yelling at us in front of everyone. It was both surprising and a embarrassing. We spoke with the owner, and found out it was his brat daughter who had decided to change the policy. He backed her up. At Gino's, the customer is wrong. Then another time we ordered a salad pizza - which we often ordered, it was one of their specialties. We got there and there was pizza and a salad. We told them that the order was wrong. They argued about it with us. We also found a roach on a pie once, but they did replace that with a free pie so we can't really complain about that- we also kept the first pie, tore it up and set it out for the birds. I have had the pizza here and it’s good. Recently I called to pick up three entrees. The guy on the phone taking the order wasn’t friendly at all. When I got there to pick up the food I was ignored and stood there waiting without an acknowledgement. A miserable good looking guy finally looks at me without a word and I tell him that I’m picking up an order. His response ... name? He gets the food, places it on the counter and never says another word as he’s processing the payment. No thank you ... nothing. How horrible to treat people who are trying to keep a local business open. No excuse for this type of horrible service. Additionally, the food was terrible. I normally would give this place 4 stars but today I'm not. I've been coming to this place for over 20 years, I remember the father when he was there all the time hardworking guy, the pizza was always good and fresh, but the last few times I was in there the workers attitude including the new owner (I guess The Son) always looks upset and not very friendly. Today I saw something very disturbing the owner which happened to have a broken arm dropped some pieces of pizza on the floor behind the counter one of the workers came over and wanted to pick it up and I"m sure was going to throw it out but instead the guy gestured to him to leave it there he didn't realize I was watching I hope that pizza made it...
