I have been a Bronxville resident for 40+ years. I regularly exercise/walk around the Bronxville Lake. The path is well used by individuals of all ages and families with young children. I am increasingly concerned about the shallowness of the lake as well as the quality of the water. At times it seems it might be better categorized as a swamp. With understanding that there are many environmental and safety issues involved, I would like to add my voice to the many who would like to see the lake dredged and returned to its former glory. I do not know if this would help the flooding issues downstream but it might. And I do not know if this would encourage the abundant natural wildlife but it would seem that a healthy lake would not be detrimental to wildlife.
