Parkway Delicatessen — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

My experience here was not pleasant . The food seems great , But I went in for a Butter roll on my short break, and right away I got weird energy from the cashier girl at the register. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m Spanish and this young lady is Albanian , but it wasn’t in my head when I checked my roll , there was a big clump of butter on just one side of the roll . I went back to her and Nicely asked her if she could put more butter & spread it on the whole roll , just like anywhere else would prepare a butter role . Right away she looked at me with an attitude , and threw away the whole butter role. I didn’t have much a problem that she didn’t prepare it right the first time , it was bothered me her attitude and the fact that she clearly got annoyed with ME , and decided to make a point that didn’t need to be made , and make a whole new one . I was in a bit of a rush & that just finished my bad experience at this deli . I would not be returning , just because of this young women’s attitude. Very weird, and...

I’m not from the area. Happened to stop by this place at the peak of the pandemic in 2020. Appears to be clean and the bacon egg and cheese I ordered was great. I wish they would wear face masks though. Not sure if I came at a time where they ran out of face masks or were taking a break from it. But they need to wear it. Do not go here. Hard bread roll. 2 thin slices of cheese 2.50, less than half a handful of lettuce 1.50, two thin slices of tomato. 1.50, roast beef 6.50. These prices are nuts for these portions.
