I recently visited đLuigi's Pizzeria in Yonkersđ and was incredibly impressed with the quality of their pizza. The traditional Italian-style pizza is full of flavor and just the right amount of cheese. The crust is thin and soft - like a traditional Italian pizza should be. Not only is the pizza cooked to perfection, but the staff are warm and welcoming. My son, brother and grandmother absolutely loved it - so it made for a great kid-friendly experience as well!
We also tried a few of their specialty pizzas such as the cacciatora, marsala, scarpariello and one with fresh vegetables. Every single pizza was topped with a classic tomato sauce and the freshest mozzarella. I was also surprised to find a great selection of antipasti. If you're a big fan of balsamic make sure to ask Raimondo - he makes the best and try to accomodate any needs!

Read moreI live in California, but visiting the area for a few days with my wife as we are dropping off our daughter at Sarah Lawrence College nearby. Our airbnb host suggested that we try out Luigi's and we are very happy we did. We have tried their eggplant parmesan hero, chickpea salad, and Penne Broccoli Rabe so far. They have all been great. Plus, the owner Raymond is a really warm guy. He was very welcoming and made us all feel like we had known him our entire lives. We like the food and the friendly vibes. btw, this isn't some fancy restaurant. It is just a modest nondescript neighborhood joint where you walk up to a counter to order food for take out or dine in. Nothing fancy. But the food is great, the service is very warm, and you go home happy after a meal....
Read moreThe other day was the first night I ordered anything other than pizza. The pizza is always great, but I had extra money to spare and wanted to get something more special so I ordered the Chicken Scarparella, one of my favorite Italian dishes. Ive been a fan of Italian food my whole 45 years of life and have never recalled having a chicken scarp meal that even closely compares to the one Luigi's sells. It was as delicious as it could possibly get and the portion was so huge it took me 3 sittings to eat it. I can't wait to try more dinner meals, I could only imagine how delicious they are. For anyone who loves Chicken Scarparella, dont buy it anywhere other than Luigi's. It was truly...
