A deep dive into Rory Dolan's Restaurant & Bar

We recently held a “proper Irish wake” for our Father, who was a retired Policeman and volunteer Fireman. We had a great many special requests, all of which were granted graciously by Majella, who arranged and oversaw our event. We also had contact with James at the Bar, and Rory Dolan himself came in to check on us. We brought in an Irish Folk Singer. Large pictures on easels and Specialty cakes, all of which was handled beautifully by the staff, modifying their usual set up and working with us on every need. The food was of the highest quality, delicious and plentiful, and beautifully presented. The young ladies handling were both pleasant and efficient and kept the 120 or so folks moving swiftly through the room and cleared the tables of plate ware and silverware very quickly, allowing more room on the table for drinks, coffee and desert. Anyone considering an event, no matter what the occasion should contact Majella at Rory Dolan’s, as they are extremely easy to deal with and deliver an excellent product. We could not be more pleased with our experience!

Step on over to the Ireland of Yonkers where the Irish flags fly a many and one can easily feel the luck of the Irish is alive here. The warm woodwork, cozy booths, and linen-covered tables make a great impression even before being seated. The bar is broad and welcoming. No surprise as the pubs in Ireland are like visiting family~ fun, friends, and good food surround you. The staff is attentive and the food selections enticing. We enjoyed the Reuben on Rye, Buttermilk Chicken sandwich, and Fried Calamari. Truly stuffed with flavor, the corned beef is sliced thinly and melts in your mouth while the latter sandwich has a spicy gochujang sauce, and radish slaw cilantro to entice you. The Calamari was crisp and tender. Rory Dolan's offers DJ music on weekends. So put on your ghillies and reel shoes and head on over to this side of the river! It is a great spot for dear friends to gather or make new friends too!

It was nice, the atmosphere was great and the food was good as well. We started with appetizers. My boyfriend ordered the calamari and I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. Both were really good. The calamari was really good seasoned and the spinach and artichoke was nice and cheesy. Then I ordered the grilled fish with lemon butter sauce asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was delicious, the sauce complimented the dish so well that everything was great. He had fish and chips, it was good he said just a bit greasy for his liking but he said it was still good. Now the dessert. The dessert was top notch to be honest. My apple crumb cake was so good soft and it just melted in your mouth it was one of the best crumb cakes I ever tasted. My boyfriend apple pie he said it was amazing. He loved it and definitely a winner. So overall great and the owner spoke to us and we was really nice and welcoming thank you.

After visiting this place with about two dozen coworkers, after celebrating the life of a coworker who recently passed away, I received TERRIBLE service from James C who was extremely RUDE!!!! As a well tipping customer I expect good service and as a result I tip according to the service provided but with terrible service I will NOT tip. Not only was James C rude but he then looked at the receipt that reflected 0 and asked if I was leaving a tip. I kindly told him that it was raggedy to ask for a tip and then James told me he didn’t expect anything from me anyway. I will absolutely NEVER support this establishment again and I encourage you to do the same. After speaking to probably the manager still nothing was resolved. Extremely TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

What a delightful bar in Yonkers! You think the city is dead until you step inside this bar and oh boy, it’s loud. Lol. And fun. Food is great, drinks are great. And the vibe is the best. It is open till late and that’s the best part about it. Going to get sloshed, byeeeeeee
