On st. Patys day 2019 I decided that I wanted to take my husband out to eat at an Irish restaurant. He never been to one before. I told him about an awesome experience I had when my mom took me to one. The service was great and the food was amazing. Trying to share that same experience with him for my 2nd time my Google search engine led us here. At first it looked amazing from the outside. It was decorated, and Irish music was playing from the speakers on the outside. I was excited thinking I found a great spot. There was valet parking, but we had to park it because the attendant couldn't drive a stick shift. We walk in and its crowed. There was a small sign at the entrance telling us to go all the way to the end and meet up with the hostess who wasnt there at first. When he arrived he looked like he was in a rush to seat us. We sit to see a paper menu with not much to choose from. We order a special drink, and mild buffalo wings. We get no water. No eating utensils, and no napkins. We get our very small watered down drinks, and about 15-20 minutes later our bbq chicken wings... Yes, we got the wrong order but we kept it trying not to cause any trouble. I start looking around and notice other people have complimentary bread baskets filled with something on their table. Water, napkins and the whole 9 yards. Whats going on here? At this point I realize we are being treated poorly. I told the waiter I will pay for my drinks and appetizer, but I wanted to leave. I felt very uncomfortable, and I didnt want to eat here anymore. He gets the manager who asked me what the problem was. I told her, but she totally ignored me and tried to make me take our original orders to go that she'll rush it out the kitchen for us. I told her no, and again she asked me what the problem was. She accused me of changing the flavor in my order of buffalo wings and told me I couldn't do that. I told her to look at what I odered... Upon doing so she comes back to me, gives me the receipt, and tells me to never come back there again. The nerve of that tiny unkept woman. Who wants to go to a place that treats you like you dont belong??? Not me... Never again! It seems like if your not Irish your...
Read moreCame home to visit my family for the weekend and my mother and brother insisted on taking me here for lunch and I was so happy they did.. The portions are well worth the money. The food was delicious. First we had the steamed muscles in the white wine sauce.. the muscles were cooked perfectly and if i had more bread I would have sucked up every bit of that wine sauce. My brother ordered the half roasted chicken with mash and veggies, my mother had the fajitas and I had the Roast Beef with mash and veggies. The veggies were fresh and crunchy, lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I could have eaten a whole bucket of those veggies. The roast beef was sliced perfectly, season well and cooked to perfection. Every bite literally melted in my mouth. When it said it came with an au ju I was really expecting your typical au ju, instead i had this gravy-like sauce that I could have poured on a flip flop and it would have been edible. Their drinks were also great. My brother had a Black and Blue for those Guinness lovers, I had a Bellini and my mother had their margarita. She is not a big drinker so for her to not only drink it but eat the crushed ice, I know it was a great drink. The service was wonderful, our waiter was patient and prompt. The atmosphere is Irish pub all the way. The bathroom was clean and smelled AWESOME. to the point i was looking around the bathroom trying to figure out where the scent was coming from. When I go back to NY I am going to add this to my places of must-eateries next to my my moms kitchen... Please do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant... they do...
Read moreI have never ever been to a place where customer service is top priority until I came across this restaurant. I recently just moved to NY from NH and was looking for places to eat nearby and this place popped up so there I went. The atmosphere of the place is very warm almost like you feel at home and the food definitely taste really good.
I am writing this review because of how amazing the staff members and even the owner I believed was there introducing himself to customers. This restaurant is very welcoming. And the server that took care of me yesterday I think her name was Maria is just a doll. They took the time to talk to you and laugh with you almost like you were visiting your relatives. And this lovely older woman Liz I think her name was who I found out has been in the restaurant for 23 years is a lovely person.
They have a huge variety of food to choose from and as well as drinks. I ordered fish and chips and I was amazed on how delicious it was. I had my fair share of bad fish and chips and the most recent one is when I went to White Plains and ordered fish and chips and was very disappointed how very greasy it was to the point that the batter had become soggy. Then I went and asked Maria (super awesome server) if the fish and chips here were good and she had said yes so I ordered it. And OMG!! The batter was light and crisp and the fish is fresh and flaky and most definitely fresh and not frozen fish.
You guys just got yourselves a repeat customer and would definitely come back again and would recommend this place...
