SoBol — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

I really love this place and so glad it’s close. However, my complaint is the young lady who works there by the name of Arlene. I really don’t like leaving negative comments but I felt disrespected by this young lady. After waiting for a smoothie for over 20 minutes, I asked her how much longer I had to wait because I was on my lunch break from work. Her sassy response was that there was a line in front of me. Meanwhile, a police officer came in and was given his order ASAP, and another person within minutes after me. The only person waiting was a man with two little boys who were there before me supposedly waiting for smoothies too. This is the line they were referring to. Nevertheless, their answer was rude, unmannerliness and impolite. I know they are young but this is a business and their behavior should be professional always. I am spending my dollars; I should be treated with some respect. That’s all I have to say to the owner. Maybe they should be trained better. I have been coming to sobol pretty often (as i always passed by it on central avenue and until this year I’ve actually tried it) and they have pretty great açaí bowls, usually the wait time is pretty fast, and the açaí bowls are really good but today, I ordered just an açaí bowl with chocolate chips which the (guy) cashier repeated the order to confirm, as it was pretty plain order but none the less CONFIRMED, and a short girl with curly hair, made it, and when I noticed she added coconut and honey, went back and kindly asked for another to be made as the person receiving it has a mild allergy, to which she replied with a attitude, “ you should’ve ordered it without coconut and honey, to which we DID and cashier confirmed, she then proceeded to bang the açaí bowl on the table and went back to correct it and slammed and slide it back to us with an attitude and not paying us any mind as if we bother by asking to correct HER MISTAKE.

Overall usually great service but today, was a horrible experience not sure if an açaí bowl is worth...

They made my order wrong i specifically said no bananas to be put in the frozen açaí mix and or on top of my açaí bowl due to me having an allergy, i also stated in the notes that they could use other frozen fruit as i used to work at a juice bar that made açaí bowls i have prior knowledge of making and açaí bowl without using frozen bananas. Once i tasted my bowl i knew instantly there was bananas and immediately started having an allergic reaction i contacted sol bol about the issue where they said they would have to request for me to speak to a manager or the owner, and then offered me a free bowl as if i would want another bowl.
