This location has amazing food, their seafood boil is the best one I’ve tried, hands down! Extremely fresh seafood, their Cajun sauce is beyond superb, very well prepared with a well balanced ratio of garlic and spice.
The only downside to my experience (after 8 visits), is that today one of their bus boys stole my father’s iPhone. We arrived back home and realized we had forgotten the phone, we tracked it with T-Mobile Family Where and with the Apple location, and both platforms reflected that it was there. We called and asked the manager to please look for our phone, and we were on our way there.
We arrived at the location and after a few minutes of back/forth, the owner (an Asian lady), began to be stern stating that no one has our phone. We demanded to see the cameras, we saw in the video footage the phone on the handrail against the window, and when he left it wasn’t there anymore. We indicated this to her but she denied, denied, denied. She wasn’t helpful at all, the one who was helpful was the manager with the glasses, my hats off to that man because he did more for us than the actual owner.
Long story short, it took us having to call the police to show up for the restaurant to put pressure on the bus boy. The manager came out and stated that they found the phone but asked us to allow him to handle it. We didn’t really care for getting the bus boy in trouble, we just wanted what was ours. Were we a different type of crowd we would’ve made a fuss, but we didn’t care for extremes.
Extremely disappointed in today’s experience with the restaurant, and even more disappointed in the owner’s attitude towards this, it took for her manager to step up and make things right, while the bus boy whom was guilty stayed in the back of the restaurant. No apologies or nothing on her behalf, even after she began to get agitated towards us. Once everything was settled, she didn’t even show face. She definitely must do better because actions as this puts a bad name...
Read moreHands down, 1 of the best restaurants I hve been 2 that was affordable. The waitress Alicia, she was a Gem. Just perfect all around. We, table of 3, had the all u can eat , plus a lobster tail, 2 alcohol drinks, 1 reg drink & 2 pieces of cheesecake. We was celebrating my aunt's 80 something birthday & we had a great time. We was even found dancing at our booth. But I just wanted to address a problem with management. We got there 12:30/1pm on Wed the 15th. We seated very quickly. Within 2 mins, our waitress Alicia came to introduce herself. Here's the problem with management, I understand that at that time the restaurant isn't very busy so that's y there's only 1 waitress. I literally watch this woman deal with customers, be the bartender & just run all over. Now when she got to us, she still had a smile on her face even when another customer interrupted her taking our order. & This was happening every time she came to us. Y didn't management help or y don't ur hve 2 waitress wrkin just n case it's a bit busy. She handled the pressure professionally but there was 1 problem & I DON'T & WILL NOT BLAME HER. We got our food but 2 of us didn't get our drinks. That's not good at all. U should never get it food b4 u get anything to drink. Our drinks took over 30 mins & yes I have a tendency to time services. My aunt's food was mild but she did start coughing. She didn't have anything to wash it down. This isn't Alicia's fault. Management makes the schedule. Just because it's not busy that early, u should always have an extra person, just n case or management should help. Overall, the restaurant is way better then City Island, & I will definitely b back. Alicia, tks soooo much, we really appreciate...
Read moreWell this was my first time and unfortunately my last time at this place. I say unfortunately as the food here was really good. Seafood seemed fresh, sauces were really tasty and the place is clean. The staff was also great as my waiter Lamar was very attentive and went above and beyond the regular waiter duties. So why the 1 star review you ask. "The management". Let's quickly review her lack of "management" We ordered 4 seafood combinations. 3 of us ate all of our food and one person wanted his leftovers to go. When the person who grabbed the plate came by the table we asked for that one plate to be packed to go. Well.... After we paid the bill they did not have the to go food. Here is a summary of how the manager handled this situation. She blamed the bus boy and said he only takes plates to throw them out. Although she never saw the plate she tried to tell me what was left on it and that it looked like trash. She offered us potatoes to take home. ( total bill was $200 )and we get potatoes instead of the crab that was left. She was not apologetic at all and only tried to blame her staff and our party for the lack of communication. Again she said I can give you potatoes.
The moral of the story is when you have a seafood boil restaurant and your two competitors are a mile from you try and display good customer service. We've been to the other place numerous times and thought why don't we try this place tonight. Well, they lost a valued customer for probably the next year, that this place is around before I bet they go out...
