This will be many people in this areas first introduction to this type of food. If its anything like what I was presented on my visit a few days ago, it'll surely be those people's last. I love this style of food, just enough to where I know this food can be better. If you've read further than my first few sentences don't take this as a complete negative. I personally give places a 3-strike system and this was strike one in my case. the lamb plate presented to me would have definitely upset some people that consider themselves experts in Mediterranean cuisine if not some people that are used to eating it on a day-to-day basis. I only have high hopes and aspiration for the restaurant, as I myself had been waiting a long time for a joint like this to open. So much so, I called before they were open to find out when in fact they would be officially open. I was that eager. I know the food I was served could be better, and I know the restaurant wants to do their best. I want them to do their best as well. Again, given the time of this writing they will have been open just a day over a week. Things take time. What I paid for and what was given to me almost seemed like someone pulling a fast one on me. Dry and crusty lamb, more soggy than juicy. Stale/toasty pita bites, fast food quality fries (Dairy Queen comes to mind), and unimaginative unflavored diced cucumbers and tomatoes. For how much? One can look that up themselves. I take in to fact that I only got the one dish of the several they have available. And the time of day I went and even the day in which I went. It could have been an off day. We all have those. Its no ones fault unless they can't accept critical feedback and pursue the opportunity to improve. I am still optimistic and look forward to returning to try some other dishes. It could be that they do some things better than others. And I by no means encourage anyone not to go and try it themselves. There's a chance my review is completely wrong and this may be the perfect food for some people. My only wish is for a new, exciting endeavor like this be successful so our community can grow more and more progressive and more open and excepting of cuisines. But, if the food stays the same like what I was given someone's dream is going to dwindle quickly. I feel as though I'm rambling now, so I'm going to cut this short. TL;DR I know they can do better and I hope they do. Give it a shot, give...
Read moreUPDATE: We were recently in the area and decided to try and swing by for lunch again with a group of 5. 4 kids and 1 adult. Only one other table was there and we were happily seated at a table for 6.
The owners were exceptionally kind with me and my kids. I highly doubt they realized it was me who did the previous review. The food was excellent and very authentic. A big surprise based on this location thankfully far away from a city! My kids loved the lamb donner plate, chicken and rice, hummus, pita bread and I enjoyed the meatball red curry special. We couldn’t resist ordering some delicious falafel because everything else was so awesome. I asked about some off menu options but as expected not all traditional Mediterranean options like tabbouleh were available. Not many in the area would have a taste for a dish like this. I wish they did!! I love this cuisine so I’m glad our shot to give it a try again worked out. My questions and love of the cuisine were very apparent and we all shared wonderful small talk with the owners.
I am sure if you have a group of 5 or more still do not expect to show up, book 24 hours in advance. If we happen to be in the area again we will probably still try to pop in but we hope this time the encounter will be better now that we had a moment together.

The larger group limitations are still not advertised well and very unfortunate given the quality and authenticity of the food.
The owner was rude in the past on the phone when we tried to reserve and then in-person to my wife when we tried to book a smaller table to accommodate them being short staffed. That did happen but must have been a one off based on feedback from regulars and the OG post.
We get that it is hard to get staff these days but in no circumstance was it acceptable to be rude from the onset when you are trying to be an accommodating customer.
That was legitimately our first experience but our 2nd one has improved greatly versus our first experience.
I encourage all to give this place another try if you had any similar first experience. We truly think we caught them in a weak moment and nothing more.
Enjoy your...
